You might be the only person in the country that knows how to use semi colons then. I thought it was just when you are already breaking apart a sentence in commas and want a list within one of those comma breaks.
If you mean like when you’re creating a list of items that already contain commas, such as New York, NY; Boston, MA; and Sacramento, CA, then that is also a valid use of semicolons.
My error was writing my sentence with a valid semicolon, then editing the sentence structure without replacing the semicolon with a comma before posting.

Now this record label was trying to put his grandfather 20 million in debt. For someone who had no idea who the black eyed peas. When they kept asking him about it, he asked why they kept asking him about soup if this was about music theft.
As the case went on, it was revealed that between his parents, and other family members, he had a cd collection, including the albums accused of stealing, worth over $5,000 worth of cds.
The whole thing turned the public against record labels, and painted them as the bad guys for trying to ruin peoples lives over music. To this day I haven’t heard of another time they tried that tactic.

Your last paragraph crossed my mind recently as the oil prices really start to spiral out of control. There were so many protests bordering on riots because people were stuck at home due to covid - now we’re already hearing news that truckers are starting to sit idle instead of driving at a loss.

Well, technically it can, in that some piracy installs things that make them money, and that can go for their private gain or their pet projects. Kinda like how google offers you free products that make money for them.
the ironic part of this is in some cases it can. Pirate broadcasts and media boxes are becoming increasingly common to have subscription models for way cheaper than you would having the traditional streaming subs.

If we don’t, If we don’t uncapture SCOTUS and then ironclad it so it doesn’t get captured again, then we’ll be right back where we are now, and next time the US might become a one party autocracy.
