so many good games, wow

Part of me feels like they’re only saying this to try to prevent a fan-made style of the game from sprouting up due to lack of development on the IP, that being said I haven’t followed one of their games since PS1, so not sure how well their fanbase is

To me the graphics are turn off for me, just judging by trailer you have very old style Graphics which are cool so like your town and your party is a rimworld style Graphics which I’m on board with and then you go out on the trail and suddenly you have full-on shadered water and an actual detailed scenery background, but your party is still in that old style graphics? I’m really hoping they ironed that out before launch because it looks absolutely horrible

A clickbait does not have to have information that contains dubious value or interest, it just frequently does.

You could make it seem less click baity by removing the question part of the title, have the title be a statement instead of something that forces the reader to have to try to answer the question.

Please note that I’m referring exclusivley to what the title of this post is, the actual video linked seems to have a good title because it’s very clear going into it when it’s going to be about. The linked videos title is kind of clickbait but I think since it ends with rumors and speculations and it’s very clearly showing an opinionated background that is fine.

GTA 5 is one of the worst easily, as someone who really doesn’t give a shit about multiplayer, there really isn’t much for me to do in it lol

I mean if it ain’t broke don’t fix it lmao we manage oil maintenance on our vehicles the same way, we have a wooden board at the back of the garage and we use a Sharpie to draw on that wooden board the mileage of the last oil change for each vehicle

I agree with the waste of money, I like them but they are far too expensive to be worth it.

as for the environmental impact, I don’t really care, there are far worse things that people could be focusing on environmental wise instead of things that help bring joy in this already gloom world. I would prefer efforts be wasted on that then wasted on trying to ruin others fun.

It all depends on your threat model, I own my Hardware as well but I’m still not going to use a software that is shown to me that they don’t take security seriously but I’m also more paranoid than most

I personally will never use nextcloud, it is nice interface side but while I was researching the product I came across concerns with the security of the product. Those concerns have since then been fixed but the way they resolved the issue has made me lose all respect for them as a secure Cloud solution.

Basically when they first introduced encrypting folders, there was a bug in the encryption program, and the only thing that ever would be encrypted was The Parent Directory but any subfolder in that directory would proceed to not be encrypted. The issue with that is that unless you had server-side access to view the files you had no way of knowing that your files weren’t actually being encrypted.

All this is fine it’s a beta feature right? Except for when I read the GitHub issue on the report, they gaslit the reporter who reported the issue saying that despite the fact that it is advertised as feature on their stable branch, the feature was actually in beta status so therefore should not be used in a production environment, and then on top of , the feature was never removed from their features list, and proceeded to take another 3 months before anyone even started working on the issue report.

This might not seem like a big deal to a lot of people, but as someone who is paranoid over security features, the projects inaction over something as critical as that while trying to advertise themselves as being a business grade solution made me flee hardcore

That being said I fully agree with you out of the different Cloud platforms that I’ve had, nextCloud does seem to be the most refined and even has the ability to emulate an office suite which is really nice, I just can’t trust them, I just ended up using syncthing and took the hit on the feature set

The latest Mario games have seemed to been quite meh for me, like out of watching gameplay of them anyway. Legend of Zelda though I’m not a Zelda fan but dang was tears of the Kingdom fun to watch, almost made me break my boycott on their products, thankfully though they’ve issued like three rounds of dmca since which has firmly solidified my decision.

I’ve been the same way with my switch, I haven’t touched it for probably a year and a half outside of a short bit when tears of the Kingdom launched where I replayed some of breath of the wild and a small portion of Animal Crossing, I agree

They had been falling for at least 4 years now, I had already strayed from doing anything on the switch from lack of appeal, but their crackdown on dmca with the yuzu Community was the final straw for me, I didn’t even use the emulator myself but I’ve always heavily embraced emulation and the ability to Tinker with stuff that you purchase and that just didn’t sit right with me.

It was also around that time that I actually read into what happened with Gary Bowser, and that made me sick to my stomach, because it was essentially the equivalent of Prosecuting a cashier for the crimes that the CEO did.

Honestly even if they were still prospering I wouldn’t recommend the products, it’s hard enough to recommend their product to customers in the first place due the platform restrictions and the fact that they just keep regurgitating the three same IP over and over again, and that’s without the active hostilities towards their fanbase

I like the ideology of having private likes, the problem is you need to trust the platform in order to have a system like that, back when Lakes were private there was trust in the platform nowadays there’s zero trust in the platform, it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re going to use this to fake engagement numbers for their userbase

Why even bother with bots? Since the like list will no longer be public they can just literally code it to artificially inflate the system to boost propaganda in the way that they want to make. Or you were able to see who was liking it so you could verify those an actual person behind it, now you can’t.

With this new system there’s nothing stopping a comment from being sent to the Moon likewise with only one person actually liking it ex. Musks social posts can have 80,000 likes where as only 10,000 actually liked it.

Who needs to spend money on engagement on the platform when you can fake the engagement and get the same results because members will be like oh there’s a lot of people interacting with this and will interact with it as well when in reality there isn’t actually much interaction with it

The people that they are likely changing this policy for are high enough up in the social hierarchy that they can’t be arsed to have more than one account, that’s too much work for them and those same people are also likely the ones that are giving them money which means that he has a direct incentive to do this

On the flip side of that coin, being able to see what other people like Embraces interaction because you can look at a like list see who else liked that post and then by doing so you’re interacting with that post as well, where with the new system there’s no longer an incentive to interact with a post unless you find it entertaining. Which I fully agree with I just think it’s going to lower their overall engagement metrics

Someone set a timer, how long will it be before they reverse that change. VISA has been very open about not wanting to be involved with anything that is NSFW, and about time Visa reaches out and says yo we’re pulling the plug on your usage of our services it’s going to reverse
