The report button is always a click away my friend!
Well I would, as well as the other comments you’ve posted in this thread. Let’s take a 3 day break to cool down, be excellent to eachother, differing views on AI isn’t a reason to be shitty to others.
Trying to belittle or offend others is against rule 3, it is not being excellent to eachother. Let’s do better my friend.
I don’t have an answer, but congrats on being one of the few to break that friendship zone barrier
Too many politically charged comments, locking. We are a technology community, if you want to talk politics please do so in the appropriate community.
You and I both know it was not your first offense, you’re entitled to your opinion on the rest, but we don’t play with rule 3 - especially when it is blatantly ignored.
Also if you’d like to get an alert for why your comment was removed or why you were banned, I’d recommend making a feature request to the Lemmy devs, I agree it’d be nice to get alerted when you did something against the rules and what rule, we post that in the mod log but it unfortunately doesn’t tell the user without them digging into modlogs.
Have a good day!
Yes, we remove rule breaking comments/posts, that’s what moderators do.
You’ve had multiple rule breaking comments, especially last month.
Also, the modlog for every community is and has been public.
Too many rule 3 breaking comments, locking this post. Let’s be excellent to eachother please!
Eyo! Report this shit next time! Rule 3, dude/person was a douchebag.
Thanks for being understanding!
Typically no, that wouldn’t get it removed.
Only removed because the user is getting harassed elsewhere for the signature, and the comment was border-line rule 3.
then DISCUSS it. That’s what we do here.
Just like I told you on your other account, I don’t believe you understand how communities work.
Each community has rules, you have to follow those rules, otherwise your posts or comments will be removed.
Locking this post since I do not believe it is genuine, and is the same thing you did on your other account.
If they would add the ability to limit comments based on something like account age, or upvotes etc, it would be awesome.
Unfortunately the Lemmy dev team hasn’t made that option quite yet, would be an awesome feature to request though!
We welcome the feedback.
This user however, reminds me of another user that was posting questions that they felt were revolutionary, but were not legitimate questions. Looking through their comments and posts, I believe this is the same user under another account.
The post that was removed (by me) that they are upset about is:
1000 years from now physics is forgotten and all that remains is the legend of two hobbits, Charm and Spin, and their quest for the Higgyboson. At this point, is physics true?
Hey no worries, appreciate it!
Yeah, I saw some reports from both accounts yesterday that made it obvious that’s their backup account. Also, not the first time they’ve done this, and they also spam report comments when they get angry.
Hey OP, how can I help? We are here for you
I didn’t avoid your point, I actually answered it: rules are rules and exist for a reason, if you break a communities rules they will remove your post or comment.
To put it more simply for you, no, it is not immoral - especially when you look at the context of your question.
Just to be transparent, I’m the mod who removed your posts.
We get a lot of rule breaking posts between the multiple communities I moderate, some of them get upvoted heavily and still get removed.
For example, someone posted a scientific post that had nothing to do with technology in /c/Technology@lemmy.world, it had a decent amount of upvotes and comments. It was still removed for rule 2 of that community, as it was off topic for that community and there are ones that exists for that content.
Sorry that it upset you, but if I could give you advise: just follow the community rules and you won’t have these issues
Waaayyy too many comments with calls for violence.
Lets do better, violence is NOT the answer here.
