Woman from India disappears down a sinkhole in Malaysia's capital

Police in Malaysia say that an Indian woman disappeared in Kuala Lumpur when pavement collapsed beneath her and she fell into a sinkhole, where she may have been swept away by an underground water current.

A woman plunged Friday into an 8-meter (26 feet) deep sinkhole in the Kuala Lumpur city center after the pavement she was on caved in, burying her alive, Malaysian authorities said.

    "The search will continue until the victim is found,” he said. He declined to comment when asked about the possible condition of the woman, or the cause of the incident.

      Did they really have to use the term “buried alive” when they don’t know the condition of the woman?

        I mean, she was alive at the moment she was buried, even if they don’t know her condition currently.
