Ive seen this specific image before, both with this caption and Im pretty sure without, the ears were a part of how iconic he was on the Polish internet. Im not old enough to remember whatever he did during people’s republic times, but to my generation he was that one funny grandpa that mocked the church (among other things) and around the time I learned of him ‘cenzopapa’ became internet-mainstream, that’s also a whole thing (cenzopapa being a meme based on mocking the polish pope)
