The AI just diagnosed me with network connectivity issues. It needs a sample to study using vegetative electron microscopy.

Gates is right. I am a teacher right now and the county has an AI that they asked us to use for lessons and planning. I tried to explain to the other teachers that we are training the AI to do our jobs, They laughed at me. My prediction is that one teacher will manage 4 or 5 classrooms with each room having an assistant to manage the kids. That one teacher will set up lesson and monitor progress. That eliminates 3 to 4 teaching positions. In my county I am making 68k a year and an assistant makes about about 25 to 30k. That means you can hire 2 maybe 3 for the price of me. If you place the assistants on 35 hours a week then no benefits. Hell you could even hire an outside company to do the assistants just like we do the cafeteria and just give them a lump sum to man those positions. The poor kids in the future are fucked.

Why is it all these people that care so much about organic produce and freak out about vaccines don’t seem to care one bit about microplastics?

LOL, fucking try to get a stationary AI to run a classroom. Hey AI Teacher, three kids just left to meet up for a fuck and fight club in the bathroom. Fix it.

Not once we hear how Ai will replace executives… Just how we’re gonna fuck over everyone who’s already struggling to just live…

Which is like one of the few jobs they could do just fine. Spew a bunch of nonsense and pretend it’s insightful.

I might completely lose my mind if I had to record the inane drivel my boss is spewing, and train an LLM with it. But if it would rid me of him, I’d still do it.

So the rest of us get to starve because universal basic income is “communism”. There already isn’t enough work for the masses. A common tractor used for farming replaces hundreds of human laborers. Who is going to buy the crops if the people have no money? These rich assholes don’t think very well.

There can be enough work. We can build parks, fund art, literature, music. If the needs of society are met with less labour, the free hours can be put to creative work.

But that requires a government for the people.

AI models to “aid” in court, listening to witnesses in order to assert if said person is telling the truth or lying are being proposed in my country.

Argument: it will speed up trials, declogging the justice system by extension.

Most lawyers are horrified, as well some judges.

Meanwhile, a judge as been suspended and reprimanded for using AI tools to write his decisions for him.

Yes, the bot did allucinate arguments and used argumentation in common law style, while my country is civil law model.

You know, an AI designed to tell if a witness is lying would be really useful…

For autism diagnosis. If the AI thinks the patient is lying no matter what they say, the patient has autism.

Uncommon speech patterns and behaviours. People with ASD are more likely to be suspected to be lying when they are telling the truth, due to avoidance of eye contact, lower stress threshold, talking about unnecessary tangents that seem unrelated to the topic and uncommon stress reactions like fawning.

Using it for education? Not this current model, not by a long shot. Granted, I’m in higher ed, but even then it’s suggestions have been so mediocre at best I’ve had to drastically modify anything it suggests to the point it’s no longer time efficient to use it.

And believe me, I’d love it to grade essays for me but there’s no way I can trust it with that simple task yet, even with a rubric.
