(Also “hooters” means something different than you think. And “honkers.” And “boobies.” And “tits.”)

I had my binoculars on a nice pair of tits yesterday. It might have just been due to the cold, but they were some of the largest I’ve ever seen!

Good lord, I’ve been sadly frittering away my owlish acronyms across the years. :S

Bah… and now it’s time to dunk my head in a bucket of rodent urine to feel the shameful pain and the painful shame!

No need for self-flagellation, it’s never too late to learn things!

If there’s one thing I try to stress, it’s there no shame in ignorance unless it’s willful ignorance!

This may have been previously unknown crucial life knowledge, but today you learned! 😆

I was going to make a joke about the Owl of the Year votes, but with the current state of Lemmy, I’m unsure if your comment was a joke or not. I bite my metaphorical tongue a lot since I only use one account and I don’t want to drag that stuff back in here.

What I said was a sincere statement as given. People shouldn’t be embarrassed to not know things, only if they refuse to learn when knowledge is shared. I try to keep an environment where people aren’t afraid to ask things they don’t know because learning is important

I was indeed a bit playful, my friend. Possibly even sarcastic.
I’m not sure, really; because sometimes the meaning bursts out, looking to reconcile its own meaning.

If it helps, I’m normally pretty chill about stuff, but what just happened in LaLaLand is akin to jumping right in to a volcano, i.e. kerplonk and sizzle.

Make of that what you will, if you like.

Ok, I just feel I’ve been seeing a lot of frustration on the platform, even with the filters I’ve set up, and I didn’t want it to chase me in here.

You’ve always been good, but a lot of people seem easier to touch off than ever. I just want us all to be chill here. Glad we’re still good!

Oh, shoot, sorry, what’s up with that?

I mean… I hope we can all understand the sheer frustration upon the insane US election result, right? But… are you thinking that it’s specifically worse than that…? I mean, floof man, let’s just get back to owls, if so…?

There’s the election, which has people rightfully mad, but I feel 99% of us are on the same side of that, but everyone seems angsty with each other, people mad at the .World staff over bans, and now drama over the 196 people and blahaj. Just too much fighting and not enough community. I try to be here as a relief to you all from it, but sometimes that’s makes it hard for me, not feeling I have a place to go.
