The thing about /s is that it can never hurt. It’s why we do science on “obvious” things; confirmation and clarity is always valuable.

Oddly enough the “lol” actually introduces the biggest doubt to me. It taints the commitment to the satire somewhat.

/s can never hurt, but there will always be someone saying “I hate sarcasm tags because they’re for stupid people” and that can hurt

Just remember that those are the stupid people because they don’t understand that sarcasm isn’t only about the reader but also the writer. Some people’s sarcasm is much clearer than others and for the one’s whose sarcasm isn’t is heavily noticeable, the /s helps.

Also, whining about non-harmful stuff that people do that isn’t what you would do instead of just living your life doing what makes you happy is generally pretty stupid anyways.

“/s” is cowardly. If you fly too close to the sun you should accept the fall.

Sarcasm should be a joke that also makes a point. In fact, even if you don’t intend to make a point, the point will fuck you over. To boot, you prolly didn’t even recognize point when you were called on it because the reply was too witty for you to clock and reply too. You just play random nonsense that seemed witty to you before you tried to land the ridiculously lucky movement you’ve made it thus far past the real enemy. You said you were a leaf on the wind before your whole point landed center in and through you.

It’s a little comical but at least your wife and your people fixed everything and gave birth to your son!

Sometimes if I think part of my comment isn’t clearly sarcastic enough I’ll go full html.

        Like this:

        <s>Donald Trump is soooooo handsome</s>

/s is not needed outside the US. In the UK and Oz, sarcasm is assumed until proven otherwise
