My current router is a teltonika 950 . I bought it for use in a campervan but sold the van and kept the router. I have an extension to use one of the antennas outside my window.

4g coverage is spotty , forget about 5g.

loved and praised this router until they decided after 2 years to not update it. Never buying a teltonika again.

I have proton VPN.

I would like to have a setup with 3 different settings . One guest net with VPN and ad/malware block . 2 private with same settings. And 3 non VPN for use for work ( has it own VPN) .

Looking at GL inet routers. A good choice? Can I combine my current T950 with one of the cheaper glinet ones? Thing is I live in a country that it’s illegal to get a anon SIM card so I think keeping the teltonika and connect a glinet one to it? Ideas?

For the type of needs that you have I would recommend that you separate your connectivity from your routing. As in find the best quality LTE router you can for the signal and then simply have it pass the connection through to a dedicated router. I would recommend a nice micro ITX router box with opnsense, you will never have to worry about it not getting updates and it will be able to easily handle your many multiple Network needs.

This box would be a bit overkill since it supports 2.5G but i have this unit and can recommend it. It would easily be able to handle your desire to have so many separated networks some with vpns some with not. and you could easily tie each network configuration to a different output port allowing you to have them all running simultaneously if needed

I’ve got the GL-iNet lte router and it works amazingly. It’s the plug in model, not the hotspot one.
