My university had an epic trolling department, naming one of the first-semester maths courses “LALA.”

“Basic” or “Fundamentals” is the name of the series of courses you start from. They are still university courses on dificult subjects.

The more advanced courses often don’t have a name you can recognize. So you don’t notice that the list goes on.

Or they call it “Modern” when really the concepts taught are from 30 years ago. It just hasn’t changed since then.
