Is there any consensus among psychologists yet about whether DID is a real thing?
I don’t have proof but as some one with it. I have noticed that sometimes. Not very often. But when someone is fronting long enough it changes. I don’t understand how or why. And understand this is my system own experiences not every system.
I believe it might be because we have somewhat our own body chemistry. For instance foods taste different depending on who’s fronting.
I don’t know if this is true. It I remember hearing that some alters can have full blindness and other things based on who’s fronting.
Or course the research on D.i.d. system are not very much sadly.
Supposing all of this is an actual thing, maybe different balances of electrolytes is influencing the symptoms?

All I can say is I hope your alter doesn’t switch out mid contest when eating the most wild spicy things. That would definitely be a system shock (lol) to us at least. Although thankfully we all can’t handle spicy anything.
