I believe the bullet is supposed to be the minute dose and shooting all the fascists would count as administering the dose in massive amounts. They could also just be saying it’s a homebrew cure since most of my fellow Americans have guns and like to talk about them using them liberally.

I think the joke is that the bullet is smaller than the baseball bat.
But since it’s also far more powerful, the joke doesn’t really work for me.
