It’s not like the S&P500 committee is going to make wild and crazy decisions based on a hunch. It’s still very much based on replacing older shrinking companies with newer more vigorous representatives in the same industry.

When they get their orders and talking points directly from Russia’s FSB, they don’t have to hire legislative staff to work for their constituents, do research on issues, and solve problems.

That depends on state and county law.
If a recall is possible, the same would dictate what the procedure for a recall is.
In the US, sheriffs are elected officials, i.e. they can’t be fired.
When you need to escape bad conditions by migrating to Syria, things must really be bad.
Or breaches even. Breeches are pants.

That depends on how Canada implemented their plastic bag ban.
California’s ban allowed “reusable” bags, which the plastics industry interpreted to produce bags that looked a lot like the thin single use bags, but of thicker plastic, and consumer habits weren’t changed by much.

They still have to form a coalition with other parties to get over 50% to form a ruling coalition.
If they don’t ally with either of the Russian-backed anti-Ukraine parties AFD (right) and BSW (left), it’ll take just about everyone else to get over 50%
Okay, but will it be replaced by something better, or just the most ruthless, violent and opportunistic who can rush in (heh) and fill the power vacuum first?
