Based in Riga, Latvia, OnlyOffice owner Ascensio System SIA was a subsidiary of Russian-based New Communication Technologies
I wouldn’t trust only office or the fork euro office tbh

I wouldn’t be surprised if 100% of UK government webites are hosted in the US. I have to navigate Microshit all the time to view planning applications and council pdfs. Labour is subservient to the US

Got my old PC from 2011 working again, had loads of RAM at the time and runs pretty well now. Put it in the loft and installed proxmox on it. Am now using remote-backups.com from Germany as a remote backup :) for a load of services.

Developed by Russia: https://www.collaboraonline.com/blog/a-european-office-suite/

Still got my n900 :) The SoC hasn’t been named (I think) but it will likely contain closed source binary blobs for the GPU at least if it’s CSF, JM based Mali did not have firmware

Do not use open office: https://forum.cryptpad.org/d/232-onlyoffice-concerns-vendor-makes-shady-moves Dedicated website: https://eviloffice.tutdomen.com/ Licensing problems: https://opensource.stackexchange.com/questions/9481/is-onlyoffice-restricting-our-freedom-with-their-faq-agpl-v3 (is not really open source?) and mobile clients going proprietary: https://www.reddit.com/r/NextCloud/comments/fktqug/onlyoffice_fcked_us/
Libre office are a project that comply with open source licenses instead of stealing the work

Alternative to Ente is Immich which I have recently set up. You need to run your own server but it’s 100x better and it’s open source

Erm, open only office is a Russian Trojan horse. What is next cloud thinking?

I have a star labs Byte. It’s an intel n355 that sits under the tv to play emulated games it runs time crisis pretty well :) and it runs jelly fin/sonar etc to transcode stuff to Apple TV. The other nice thing is the bios is open source coreboot. I’m currently trying to silence the fan which at least is possible because of the open source bios

I would vote for it. Drop the pound just to spite the boomers who pulled the ladder up.

I’m using XMXW (Xtrackers MSCI World ex USA UCITS ETF 1C) up 21% over a year, so better than the s and p. I ditched my US stocks before the US turned facist so got quite lucky

I pay for proton, not sure if I get the AI but I probably wouldn’t use it anyway. Would rather they improve the spreadsheet thing so I can get off Google for good

I have a turris omnia, it used to work well unfortunately now the 5ghz WiFi keeps dropping so I can’t recommend it any more. I think if I did it again I would buy a small pc, some WiFi adapters and install open wrt on it

Sell US treasuries, or maybe Kier could stop buying them like they are 2 for 1

I hadn’t heard of that. Thanks! I will take a look

I wish there were an EU alternative to Kagi. All other search engines pale in comparison and I just can’t deal with ads any more. I can only hope that Proton are looking in to search

What? There are many companies supporting Linux commercially: Collabora (Who support specifically Libre office etc, Igalia)
I have a feeling it would struggle with Stellaris. It struggles with Halo 1 two player fyi, I think it’s more a CPU issue than a GPU issue
