But it does state she was working on her own business, another article mentioned it as well, that she was investing, feel free to use your non-american search engine of choice to find more. And that’s not what TN visa is for. I can imagine it would be easily abused (and likely is) by investing in your own business and sponsoring yourself, if the amount you invested isn’t enough to get you through the threshold for investor visa - which has been increased recently.

Multiple lawyers are quoted suggesting it was not a good idea to do what she did, one of them directly advising her, and hat she wouldn’t have had the same issue at Canada border, that just screams arrogance to me.

I’m not defending what US did here, but it’s like with boycotting US products…oh suddenly shopping in all those big corporation shops in Canada is fine as long as they fuck us over with Canadian products? I wouldn’t want that to happen to anyone it’s bullshit, and this is getting overzealous, making an example of someone. If you read all the details in the articles about this though, it appears that she was doing something borderline or outright illegal to begin with, and I’m finding it difficult to feel sorry for her in this instance.

She was advised by a lawyer not to cross the border the way she did and at the place where she did it, and she ignored that advice. She was on TN visa which was revoked back in November, yet she was supposedly investing in a startup? Wouldn’t that mean you should seek E2 or similar visa, what could have flagged her for the cancellation her original TN one?

I feel more sorry for the hiker from Germany, even if she may have been trying to stay with her boyfriend or whatever, as far as evidence suggests, at least she did more or less everything by the book and had appropriate visa and documents that wouldn’t have otherwise caused her any issues.

It sounds more like agreed in principle, and would only come into effect if/when Russia agrees.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t mean that much, if anything OpenRA is ahead of what the original engine was. The only issue is saw with OpenRA’s engine was the odd unit pathing every now and then, so perhaps that could be one thing for them to look at (not that it was consistently great in C&C)

I just wish they had some way to host photos as well. My main use of maps app has been to understand what a place looks like/whether I wanna go there, or myself add some photos so others can. However, I do fear this would require strong moderation and a lot of overhead on platform like Organic Maps, unless they utilized a rather small select community for contributions.

There’s very little content for it to be worth it IMHO. I constantly use whatever 2-3 month free offers that come up, catch up on something and if the free trial expires (you can usually use it on same acct as long as it’s not active) I’ll just download the remaining few episodes. Shoutout to the redflagdeals people who post the free offers for appletv

Most things in our regular day-to-day lives would leave residue, even water (maybe deionized wouldn’t?) just a matter of how much and how noticeable. About the soap, well if you smell it on your hands after wash, then it’s still there and you will rub it onto stuff. At least it’s just soap tho…

I don’t know if you can reasonably remove all contaminants off your skin, unless you plan to like glove up or destroy the skin by washing waayyyyy too often. But you know, good hygiene will keep things you touch nicer for longer so keep at it.

Tbf unless you’re really anal about it, you’re never going to have perfectly clean hands all the time. But if your controller is getting discoloured quickly and regularly, then you can probably tell where the problem lies regardless of its colour.
I have similar issue with mouse, but it takes about 3-4 years of regular use for it to get really noticeably discoloured or start rubbing off top coat, to a point where even cleaning with IPA doesn’t do anything. And that’s a black mouse.
Also worth noting, many hand creams are a big no-no imho. Some of that shit destroys your gear, worse than any dirt.

Interesting, I recall a colleague in UK mention that it was costing her up to 20k a year. That was her max but not always/everywhere - would have been almost 30k USD at the time, so it sounds considerably cheaper in US but obviously a lot more land available and affordable

Any noticeable durability issues? Had my Samsung stick die completely just outside of warranty window…
