For a second I misread the title as “Microsoft’s Potato Technique” something something. That would probably be a more delightful title.

Then again, it’s Microsoft. Who knows how they wouldn’t screw even that up.

Don’t worry, they can just drive home! Oh wait…

what coffee maker has instructions so complex you need AI to understand it? :o

we makin the einstein coffee or smth

…may you elaborate?

That’s not even AI in a coffee maker, that’s just… a coffee maker XD

Anyway, this 100%, you make great points.

They put AI moderators in charge and I have a feeling they’re whittling their own userbase down and that that might be having an effect on their stocks too.

Microsoft apps have been incredibly terrible at, uh, working, lately. Outlook periodically logs me out on its own for no reason. The mobile apps are especially shitty, at least on Android - they either crash/segfault themselves out right after opening, or they just stay stuck infinitely while futilely trying to log you in.

See, this is the apex of dispute resolution

And that’s just the packaging part!

Yeah! You could even make like a business model out of… nevermind.

I think variety of choice and evolution is great. I love the idea of Reticulum, though I haven’t seen much outside of it. My thesis is that these efforts would be best concerted somehow, rather than in isolation, so that their usage can benefit each other multiplicatively.

In many workplaces, no.

I agree with the notion, but I’m mildly concerned with the fragmentation of solutions. We already have I2P, Yggdrasil Network, Gemini Network, the cjdns ecosystem, just to name a few. You can just run nodes on all of them at once, but that restricts accessibility to those who have the raw compute (and bandwidth) necessary, which isn’t exactly conducive to what I’d consider a truly “open” internet, especially in the third world.

“Hey, don’t you love the nature surrounding us, which you are prohibited from interacting with during the length of your contractual obligations with us?”

His theory was certainly expanded upon by a great deal of European thinkers later on, though he provided strong foundations.

Being prebuilt isn’t the same as open source! By that metric Linux is closed source because 99.9% of Linux users don’t build their own kernels (and those that do ought to shower anyway).

Tox also isn’t that great security wise. It’s hard to beat Signal when it comes to security messengers. And Signal is open source so, if it did anything weird with private keys, everyone would know
