Even when they are used perfectly according to the instructions, they risk causing permanent hearing damage (and tinnitus), but fuck you if you’re around when cops decide to throw them, and you won’t get any compensation for the suffering.

Same laws in France.

Yes, line 13 being the least advanced has odometers accurate within 20 mm or so, and balises for precise positioning in stations. I wouldn’t call it automation: the train can still be manually controlled and stopped within a few cm of the exact spot where doors are perfectly aligned.

Platform doors in Paris also exist with manually drivable trains. None of your points are actually good reasons against platform doors in busy stations: people falling on the tracks cost a lot of money and the doors almost completely eliminate the problem.
And every harvest comes at the cost of many workers’ lives (they defend their reserves and their stinger ripping out kills them). Also they’re given sugar in winter to compensate for the honey taken from them.

In the UK the sorry state of the roads will be more of a problem for tyres than extra weight.

Any sufficiently big capacitor does this and that’s why you short them out for storage unless you want to die.
The biggest ones I worked with were 75 kg slices of stinkiness when they leaked and had to have two separate loops of wire on the terminals for safe disposal.

SimpleX, Briar, Nostr

SimpleX makes you anonymous and messages can’t be attributed to you. HR would probably believe screenshots still. If people identify themselves on the chat, and they don’t have to.

Depends on the press, horizontal press is so easy I can do more than three times my own weight… on a different machine with free weights where you have to push upwards I top up at a bit less than twice my weight.

I’ll be impressed when they show an exploded diagram with all the parts, and more exploded diagrams for each board/computer as well, and the origin of most of the car is actually European. They’re assembling Chinese parts in a very automated factory at this point, they’re only doing this to get State subsidies on new cars.

They also scam the other side: I booked a rental car through them, the rental place wouldn’t honor my reservation, they made me call dozens of times, hung up on me every time. Their booking system for car rentals is a scam, you get your money back eventually but you still have to pay 2× or 3× the price to get a car on the day because they don’t care at all about honouring reservations.
I’d have had to sue them in the UK and if I had fuck you money or better legal insurance I would have.
Decided me to never give them any money again. I’ve kept to it, I hope they fail.
Car rental places are scummy enough without an even worse middleman. They can’t pretend they can’t honour reservations where I live: if they have anything better than what you booked they have to give it you at no extra charge (so if you booked an Aygo and they only have S-Klasse left, you get the S-Klasse).
Also the point in France. This is a tiny concession, French police will still brutalise children.
