My uncle passed unexpectedly a few years ago. He didn’t have any family nearby so I went down with my dad to sort through his shit. This man had an entire spreadsheet with every single account username and password he had printed out. I cannot tell you how much time it saved me. He had a ton of accounts with monthly payments (mostly porn) that I was able to cancel immediately, and we were able to access all his banking stuff.

He also had a hard-drive full of meticulously organized porn, which was depressing to have to wipe to be honest because he had clearly put a lot of time and effort into it.

I dont recommend just a spreadsheet like that in your house tbh but ever since, I created a password manager with one primary password that my partner knows where to find if anything were to happen to me.

I just listen to them. It does take more concentration to listen to ‘hard’ books but then I do something more mindless like cross stitch or colouring. Just anything to keep my hands busy so I can focus on the content. Sometimes I will also have a digital version of the book so I can re-read something if I’m getting stuck on a part.

It’s such a shitty dynamic honestly. I know drivers are poorly paid and often mistreated and always fighting the clock, but as a restaurant worker I also saw how absolutely fucking rude they can be to servers. I can’t tell you the amount of times I was walking to a table or trying to help someone and had a phone shoved in my face or an order number yelled at me. Capitalism brings out the worst in all of us.

I mean, yes vote, but also organize, hold people accountable, and fight when it’s necessary. Voting in itself isn’t the only thing democracy is about and if people think capitalism will be fixed just by voting well…
