Yeah, that’s what I think is scummy. You expect it to be cheaper, not more expensive. Good thing you noticed it. And thanks for your post, now I’ll make sure I check the prices on those things.

I just noticed your Skyrim screenshot says “items included in this package” instead of bundle, so a package must be different from a bundle. It’s kinda scummy to me with expectations like this though.
Edit: this link has more details: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/2592234299566324683/

Yeah, this is weird. I already own the game and the package is still listed for €16,49. Normally it would say something like “complete your bundle” and list the price of the item you don’t own yet as the total price, but it doesn’t. So I guess this isn’t listed as a bundle and that’s what’s causing the issue. Probably Bethesda’s decision.

The game is Night in the Woods. It’s a story about a depressed anthropomorphous cat who quit college and moved back in with her parents. You play day by day and each evening you can chose which of your friends you wanna hang out with.
If you hang out with a particular friend one night, you will visit the woods together. There, you have to play a game where you try to stab each other’s fist with a knife. There are mechanics to stab and retract your fist to avoid getting stabbed. This is considered fun. There is no way to progress the game without stabbing your friend.
I’m sorry, I’m probably too old and soft for this, but no, I don’t wanna stab my friends for fun with a knife.

Oh no, I don’t think this fits into the definition, it’s just that the statement I quoted seemed strange. And the company would probably argue it’s a citizen’s arrest if this ever went to court.

No private citizen or company has the right to retain someone else against their will.
Don’t you have something called “citizen’s arrest” in the US? Like when a shop employee catches a thief, they’re allowed to detain them until the cops show up?

I’d rather see your personal page with HTML tables than yet another CSS framework clone.

But in this case there is a larger group than the Chinese people, i.e. all the people that are not Chinese. If “most people are not Chinese” is true, then “most people are Chinese” cannot be true.

False dichotomy? The host pretends that the only options are “We need to keep I.C.E.” and “we abolish I.C.E. and let children be raped”. There are of course plenty of other options, but he just keeps shouting this point as if there aren’t.

Ah, I didn’t know he had explained that, thanks. That’s a very manipulative way to go about things. Glad it was discovered.

guys and gals who have not had the ability to read or predict social cues nor understand how some acts will look like for outsiders.
I guess the dev in question here is either young or on the spectrum. Both are alright and we all make mistakes.
Definitely, even if old and neurotypical, we all make mistakes. And that’s okay.
I’m not sure how much of a mistake this was, though. Why would they hide the banlist in such a way if they weren’t worried about social repercussions? Wouldn’t they just proudly announce it as a great new feature, especially if they lacked social tact? It seems to me the only reason to obscure your actions like this is precisely because you’re worried you might stir up a shitstorm.
But maybe there’s another explanation for hiding the list that I can’t think of.

Honestly this doesnt add anything
Yes it does. It tells us the kind of person this is, namely someone who doesn’t give a fuck about anything or anyone else. Therefore his opinion is worthless.
And in case you haven’t noticed: everything is about climate change.

I think what is exceptional for English is that negation and forming a question require a modal verb. You can say “I love apples” but not “*I not love apples”, nor “*Love I apples?”. This is rare in a language. (An exception for negation could be “Apples, I love not”, but this does not sound like everyday speech.)
The Dutch firework ban is only starting this year. During covid there was a ban and while it wasn’t totally quiet, it was a lot more doable. A lot less people in the hospitals too: about one third of the previous year. Most people do follow the law.
I get really tired of people saying it won’t work anyway. The only reason to say that is to oppose a ban. Instead try to persuade Poland and Italy to stop selling bombs to citizens.

“If you want to launch a game, and get it as widely publicized as possible, you’ve got to put it on Steam so people can wish list it, and if you want to play it on Steam, then you have to get this Scarlet Letter of AI attached to your product
You don’t have to, just don’t use A.I. Easy.
It’s available on archive.org. I might read this next, thanks!
I’d prefer a [HUMAN] tag for projects without A.I. But yes, tags would be welcome.
I’m playing Ori and the Will of the Wisps. It has a 90% discount in Steam right now and it’s been on my wishlist for a long time.
It’s a beautiful game to look at. It runs great on the Steam Deck. The only issue I had was that it’s quite dark for the OLED screen, but I’ve turned up the brightness and now it’s good.
I find it quite challenging to play though, but that’s part of the fun. If you like metroidvania games, I do recommend it, especially at its current price.
