It’s gonna be like madden in a few years. The devs will get lazy and just slap a new coat of paint on it each year.

Yes.

I was a nightly weed user and moved to Japan in February.

I quit 6 months before making the move, so there would be absolutely zero chance of testing positive on any potential drug tests here.

If I’m being honest, I miss it. But not enough to want to move back to the states.

Article is paywalled (account walled?) so I can’t read the whole thing because I’m not making an account to read one article.

But I think it’s reckless to dismiss all “AI doomsaying” as advertising / hype for AI companies. SOME of it is absolutely that. Some of it is real concern from experts that should not be ignored.

Millennial here, from an extremely Protestant Christian conservative family, fighting the good fight. I vow to continue not mutilating my children’s genitalia for as many as I can afford to have.

Just kidding. We can’t afford any more.

People throwing up makes me laugh. I don’t know why… it’s just really funny to me.

UFOs are real, and non human intelligence is here with us on earth, but those are both distractions from the much more consequential secrets: spacetime, and everything that exists within it, is a product of consciousness. Our consciousness continues after death. Telepathy, telekinesis, remote viewing, and precognition are possible. Human science is controlled and new discoveries in public academia are suppressed to prevent us from learning the truth.

In honor of his excellency “winning” the Iran war so many times, I propose we call it “pulling a Trump.”

I can’t find the MapQuest map in the Japanese App Store, and CoMaps doesn’t seem to have very many search results when looking for local spots here.

Anybody have a good recommendation for a map app in Japan that is more privacy-centric?

I’ve been wanting to ditch Google Maps for a long time.

I wear a t shirt and jeans, and put a pair of pajama pants in my carry on so I can change in the airplane toilet at the beginning of the flight for anything over 3 hours.

Doesn’t say what kind of test was used, which means they could have tested positive for marijuana consumed at any point in the last six months…

Excellent article. I encourage people to go read the whole thing. His predictions are on point.

You’re right. The fight isn’t over. It sure feels like we’ve lost sometimes though.

I was ready in February 2025. But after 12 months of being surrounded by people who don’t know/don’t care, and the growing threat of illegal detention of my legal immigrant spouse, I packed my family up and left.

Hijiki no nimono maybe?

It’s actually a seaweed, but is very common, usually a little sweet, and mixed with carrots / beans / etc.

Super healthy and lowers cholesterol.

“Serial killer responds to drive by shooting.”

Because with Linux, the software design decisions are made by engineers, not executives.

We rented an apartment for 5 months after listing our house for sale because we didn’t want to have to clean it and leave the house fora few hours every time someone wanted to come do a viewing.

In our defense… we had a 3yr old, a hairy dog, and were preparing to leave the country permanently, which took 10 months of nonstop preparation on top of working full time, so I still think it was worth the money to save us the extra work. But yeah, probably the laziest thing I’ve done.
