No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How come when paying cash for gas, it is not like a coke machine where you can insert your money? And when it hits that limit it clicks off?
1·3 months agoThe question was about cash and not card, so I have no feedback for that.
I do question if the goal is to pay at the pump with cash whether it’s ideal to go inside to get change anyways. But it is a feasible solution IF a person overpays, and presumably a person would have a good enough handle most of the time to say “I can put 20 dollars in and not go over” so it’s not something that would happen all the time.
Would potential theft become an issue because of large amounts of cash in a machine outside? Or potential robbery when said machine is unloaded? Outside of that I can’t think of a reason not to implement such a thing.

21·3 months agoMy guess would be that there’s no way to refund overpayment if the tank becomes full
My local library has a 3d printer. Might be worth checking out what resources your local one has?
Nah. I stocked up before deployments and stashed it all under the deck plates of my workspace for days when the food from the galley was particularly inedible. But the ship store did have such such items for purchase, and those items certainly sold!
I would have loved if unflavored oatmeal were an option at every meal! I could have saved a fortune on cup noodles and instant mac&cheese!
I can verify personally that this is absolutely false. I remember fondly when the warrant officer onboard would volunteer to help in the galley, and on those days the burgers not only got seasoned, but cooked with the cheese on top! This happened infrequently, but was amazing when it happened.
Probably an organization that had copilot shoehorned into. 😂
Epic pays the publisher a flat fee for permission to distribute the game for free for the week.
Your individual download doesn’t give Rowling any less or more, but shows support for her IP, and tells epic they made a good decision to support her.
I’ve heard great things about the game, but for me the download does support Rowling, so it’s a hard pass.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Sooo... This is happening on Imgur
16·11 months agoAny idea whether imgur is still allowing advertising from AfD? I ended up migrating away from them because of that and haven’t been back.

She was probably turned off by the fact that they aren’t maps, but rather nautical charts. :(
