There’s a huge difference between keeping necessary cultural discussions alive and posting relatable, self-congratulatory webcomics for easy engagement.

Normalizing good values requires actual substance, nuance, and effort. ​ Re-stating “racism bad” or “treat people nicely” in a 4-panel punchline to an audience that already completely agrees with you isn’t combatting atrocities; it’s performative preaching to the choir.

It’s fine for people to enjoy low effort/stakes comics, but framing them as a crucial front-line defense against evil is a massive stretch.

Her social commentary often relies on low-hanging fruit (tackling absurdly obvious moral takes where 90% of people already agree). Because she’s just preaching to the choir it comes across (to me) less like thoughtful humor and more like self-validation for holding standard, “I’m not a total piece of shit” views. While I don’t think I’ve seen a Pizzacake comic I actually disagree with, I just as rarely find one that felt worth making in the first place.

To answer your question: I’m on the 1TB OLED model.

I’ve done a good bit of tinkering with settings myself but I haven’t tried everything on your list yet (disabling AA entirely is definitely something I need to test out). I’ll give your exact setup a go the next time I hop on and see how it performs.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share all those details and warnings, especially regarding the gyro/anti-cheat stuff. I’ll drop an update once I’ve had a chance to test it out out there.

Just a quick edit, switching to desktop mode and deleting the compdata file for Arc Raiders (1808500) helped my performance dramatically. I lost all my settings (controller, resolution, everything) but performance has increased. Only tested on a few maps but I’m playing with higher resolution with more FPS. I use TUUA and set it around 50% = 30 - 40 fps

​I get where you’re coming from but I look at it a bit differently.

Offloading mundane labor to machines is net positive; it’s our “adapt or starve” economic setup that’s broken.

​Honestly, I just like packing my bags correctly without feeling rushed by a cashier or dealing with human interaction, for me that’s a big plus.

I don’t get the hate? I go out of my way to use self-checkouts if I can.

Ah, it’s only the Queen/Harvesters and Matriarch maps I avoid as the Deck really starts chugging on those matches. It’s a bit annoying since they’re endgame content (I’ve been playing pretty much since release and still haven’t crafted a single legendary weapon, lol) but after tinkering with the settings, I can usually lock in a pretty stable 35 FPS otherwise.
