I have a Nuki Smart Lock Pro 5 and am really happy with it. What was important to me: it’s made in Europe (Austria) and doesn’t send your info to China or USA. There is no fee for some shady online service. In fact, it doesn’t require online connectivity, but if you opt to connect it to Wi-Fi (for free), you can use some of its „smarter“ features. It does have a function to re-lock the door as soon as it closes, this does require the additional purchase of some sensor which I don‘t have. I did however choose to purchase the optional fingerprint reader so the kids can enter and leave easily. There are a lot of great additional features. I really love that thing.

5·8 months agoSwitched our company‘s Backup from Backblaze to Infomaniak (swiss). In addition to simple backup we really enjoy the cloud features for team collaboration (ksuite). Turns out that they offer excellent Email service as well (they offer a super essy email import tool, so the move of all coworker‘s emails was a breeze). And all that for less than what we paid at Backblaze for just backup. Best decision ever.

5·8 months agoI second this. Here is a comment I made about my PocketBook a while ago: I still have a Pocketbook Lux 3 in use. It must be about 10 years old now and still works beautifully (even the backlight). One battery charge usually lasts me weeks, even with heavy backlight use. They are made in Europe (Switzerland) and run some flavour of Linux. They‘re not rock-bottom bargains, but the cost of the entry-level model seems quite fair in my opinion (€107). https://pocketbook.de/
