I think the English terms “virtual” and “artificial” both suffer from the implication that the thing being described is “not real”, as opposed to “human-made” or “abiological” or “machine” intelligence. It is real intelligence – not as generalized as human intelligence, but it can detect patterns, make predictions, and use tools to modify its environment, which is arguably what people mean by “intelligence”.
