Quantizing the electromagnetic field is beauty and elegance enough. Feeding another mouth on Christmas during these trying times is not.
To even think that there are universes where we can’t stop after second order perturbation theory in the fine structure constant. Scary thought.
If you’re turned on like her, maybe consider reading “Crash” by J. G. Ballard. I swear it’s not smut.
Sport climber here. “Power Screaming” is a well- known technique to boost power during individual hard moves. Adam Ondra is famous for his strategic screaming, see his ascent of Silence. I regularly use it myself to increase core and grip strength.

8·1 year agoThe achievement in question is the preparation of the neutral atoms, which realize qubits, on this grid. Controlling the placement of such a large number of individual atoms with just light is a somewhat recent breakthrough that is now maturing.
Addressing the atoms and letting them interact is an entirely different beast, but the prerequisite of placement is just as important.
To the practicing statisticians out there: Is BLUE at all relevant in the field? Even if you can formulate your data/problem as a linear regression, wouldn’t maximum likelihood estimation still be the preferred method in most scenarios? Edit: Of course Bayesian analysis is of equal relevance here!

Supposing that the measurements with and without the sphere are taken under identical circumstances. But you deserve the upvote either way.
