This position could only happen with an illegal move. Another monarch would never permit the pawns to kill royalty and their police force would never help.
Did you ever wonder why the game is over just before a king dies?!?

Discovery has always been a mixed bag for me.
I was fine with their changes to the Klingons, but disliked the emphasis of action.
I liked Pike and Spock (an Strange new Worlds), bit disliked the final battle with a million ships/drones.
I liked the jump into the future, but disliked the reason and resolution of the Burn.
I liked the threat of the DMA and its consequences, but the interpersonal relationships of the crew lost their appeal to me.
Season 5 was one of the weakest for me.
The Breen and the new XO two positives for me.
The crew, the Progenitor Tech and the search for it were all boring for me. Especially the established characters are more annoying than interesting to me.
Mol and L’ak ruined the season for me, more specifically Mol. A cross between a tantrum-having toddler and rebellious teenager, she added nothing to the plot. Her random connection to Book was blatantly manufactured and added nothing.
I actively had to stop myself from skipping scenes with her. I was close to just stop watching this season, since the rest wasn’t too compelling either. I really dislike when antagonist keep sticking around, because the heroes try saving them (from themselves). It’s okay to let a horrible person bleed to death, Michael.
I’m glad it’s over. It could have been better, but also worse. I think this season showed it was a good decision to end it now.
Congress should have a theme for this. “Warcrime Wednesdays”?
Thanks for the recommendation. Will take a look and see if the extra money is worth it.
He is a overall a good dude. I love what he did with his Sneakers:
As per Joe Pompliano, In 1998, when Shaq was on his way out of the Orlando arena, a mother was seen cursing at him. She posed the question, “Why don’t one of you s** o** a B****** make an affordable sneaker?” in front of him that made him wonder. He even offered her $200 which she violently refused.
The Lakers legend stopped to think about the enormous difference in the actual cost of basketball shoes and how much a typical family could spend. This led to his decision to leave Reebok and start his own line. A thought occurred in Shaq’s mind and he turned to the biggest retailer in the world, Walmart.
It’s been two decades, and Shaq has been selling most of his shoes at Walmart for $15-$30, compared to Nike’s $200 and more. This helped him sell over 120 million pairs of shoes.
Discovery had its ups and downs for me over the seasons. The Progenitor tech. Breen. Both interesting. Moll and L’ak and the forced connection to Book ruin it for me. I get annoyed every time Moll opens her mouth.
I enjoy shows that add personal connections into their story, but Discovery is excessive and misses quite a lot.
More and more aspects of life require an app or at least a smartphone (QR codes). That already excludes older people from some aspects of daily life. Let’s do the same for kids!
Politicians should do their jobs and regulate tech and social media not ban useful devices.
Sports are divided by gender, because it’s easy. It has been done that way for a long time.
But how is a long jump competition between a 1,50m and a 1,90m woman fair?
It’s not.
People who want fairness should see past easy binary characteristics. We are tracking hormone levels, muscle mass, body fat and countless other statistics in professional sports. Why can’t we divide athletes in 3, 4, or more different groups?
“It’s unfair to have trans athletes compete with women!”
It’s unfair when I play basketball against LeBron, as well.
Bigoted people are making it about competition while holding onto the archaic division between men and women.
They could create other criteria and have 3, 4 … Separate groups. Making sports much fairer. But this is about oppression, not fairness.
When knowledge is deliberately gated by large entities and the author would give it away for free (scientific papers) is a no-brainer for me. Or when a course requires specific textbooks that costs hundreds of dollars.
Why companies aren’t fined for every customers data they didn’t secure properly is beyond me. This should cost them a specific sum per customer or part of their annual global revenue. Make it hurt.
Otherwise they have no reason to spend money to properly secure people’s data.
I hop between invidious, piped and Freetube regularly. Had some instances when both piped and invidious don’t work at all.
I’m looking into Proton, Windscribe and AirVPN atm. Travelling the high seas is my main reason for a VPN. In the past I didn’t use it enough to switch from Mullvad, which I liked except for their port forwarding switch.
Thanks for the hint.
Yeah, I was getting desperate 😆
Rumors are it will have a LCD screen. That way Nintendo will be able to make a version with an OLED screen a few years later and sell it to you again. They’re so “innovative”.
Great. Now I’ll wait another year to get it for at least 50% off.
Not participating in a disinformation war reminds me of the hesitation to allow Ukraine to strike Russian territory with the supplied weapons. What incentive does thr other side have to stop?
