3·8 months agoSo im not seeing the option for “Automatically follow platforms of a public index” after federation.

I believe(?) I found it under Settings->Configuration->Basic:
Automatically follow instances of a public index
⚠️ This functionality requires a lot of attention and extra moderation.
See the documentation for more information about the expected URLIm going to replace the main
https://instances.joinpeertube.org/with your index and see what happens.

21·8 months agoOther states are going to have the same kind of laws…and some go farther than Cali is going to right now: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2026/03/many-more-us-states-are-planning-or-already-have-operating-system-age-verification-laws/
This is just the latest.
so now we may have a forked/pirate linux distros because people dont want to be age restricted and phone home.
Interesting, I can comment on piefed (just did a test) to the comment above. But I get a new tab when I try to see the proxy link.

5·8 months agoCheck out !peertube@lemmy.world most videos dont have ads.
I remember when cable had very little ads. Its sttange that we pay so much for cable/internet/premium but companies chasing that dollar keep throwing ads in there.

1451·8 months agoYou can call your code enforcement in your city and get them cited for light regulations.
Ive done that when I was at an apartment and a business decided to put lights on all night at our building. They had to take them down so we could sleep. Imagine daylight through your window bright.
They got fined and everything. It was glorious.

Wow this is fantastic!
