  • Pretty much my setup as well. Though I’m using qwen3.8 27b-Q4_K_M under ollama. Everything running with docker. Add nginx and either a domain+port forwarding or zerotier/tailscale you’ve got an app you can get to from outside your house.

Right now not sure how I’m going to leverage it not probably to streamline my self hosted stuff, help with config mgmt and documentation, web page summarization, etc. we’ll see how it does, just got it setup yesterday

  • I think ive tried remote play and never got it working. at least with moonlight and sunshine, i can control everything thats going on. I have had to tinker quite a bit.

I basically now have a script that saves the state of my real monitors, turns them off, and creates a virtual monitor on my Ubuntu 26.04 pc, according to whatever resolution the moonlight client requests. then, after i close moonlight, it runs a tear down script that destroys the virtual monitor and brings the real monitors back exactly how they were. That way i can connect from my steamdeck and it matches the resolution, or i can connect from another computer and it matches the resolution of that screen.

i have hitches with wifi sometimes, where i have to restart moonlight client (which doesnt necessarily kill the sunshine session) but for the most part it runs smooth enough for action games like Onimusha, Spider-Man, etc. I’ve also played Rocket league on it, the most latency-affected game I play, and it is better streamed than playing straight off the steamdeck.

edit: for context im running ubuntu 26.04 with kde plasma.

  • i stream music from my desktop at home. i use navidrome as the server (edit: behind a reverse proxy). it hooks up to lastfm account to grab metadata that is not already build into the files. sometimes the metadata in the files are wrong, so i have to fix with an app called picard.

symphonium is a paid client i use on my phone, but it has so much customization that a buck or two made it worth it for me.

i use soulseek to share media with my friends. sldl is a cli tool for it that makes it easy as one command album download.

  • I was curious, so I went to Wikipedia, as one does.

A notable example of the observer effect occurs in quantum mechanics, as demonstrated by the double-slit experiment. Physicists have found that observation of quantum phenomena by a detector or an instrument can change the measured results of this experiment. Despite the “observer effect” in the double-slit experiment being caused by the presence of an electronic detector, the experiment’s results have been interpreted by some to suggest that a conscious mind can directly affect reality.[3] However, the need for the “observer” to be conscious is not supported by scientific research, and has been pointed out as a misconception rooted in a poor understanding of the quantum wave function ψ and the quantum measurement process

Edit: erhm. this isnt an ad for Wikipedia. the words just shook out that way. lol
