Good. I don’t have the money or time right now to get it, but what I played from the demo was delightful. Can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Also, there is the common online sentiment “If buying isn’t owning, then piracy is not stealing” and I can’t help but believe that this will permiate even deeper into the gaming culture.

Kinda, but also I checked the original announcement - they promised 5 years of software and hardware support. And they had spares for 7 years as they just stopped selling them like 3 weeks ago. For a phone they stopped selling in 2022 (after it launched in 2019). IMHO that’s a fair support time. Mind you - again that was 7 years ago when a 5 year software support was still groundbreaking as far as I recall.
I’d love it if devices lasted even longer. But with the current smartphone world I’m more than willing to hand it to FP - it’s been ‘fair’.

Hey would you be so kind and direct me to the place where Apple sells genuine spares for the 13 mini?
I’m not saying 5 years is a long time to support a phone - Apple does really well in terms of software support - I am saying having genuine spares available for that time is.

Fairphone already does pretty much what you want - keep spares available for an insane time. They don’t have spares for the 3/3+ anymore but for the 4 which was released like 5 years ago.
And we don’t know why the 6+ exists yet, it could be a simple stupid reason like Qualcomm deciding they don’t want to produce the old SoC for as long anymore.
Personally the fact that we can even get what is basically ‘just’ a mainboard upgrade for a smartphone does speak for Fairphone IMHO

Except they can’t get the same punishment as people like ‘going to jail’ and will instead get a stern talk or maybe even gasp a slap on the wrist

Good, now let’s increase the list and also add vacuum cleaners to it! I thought that they already were but seemingly not :(

I’ve got a similar build - the only thing I’d consider upgrading is the CPU to an X3D but honestly that’s chasing the last few drops. All games run great on pretty high settings and stable 60 - which is enough for me.
I work in a similar environment. Most of our projects lifecycle we were 4 devs who knew each other reasonably well and all had high trust in each other. Unless it was a one-liner or a hotfix at 4am did get merged without a code review. Most if the reviews were just hitting the checkmark, things look fine done. But sometimes someone makes a mistake, as is human. In that case we caught it before it hit main.
Not devoted to genocide - but rather when wanting better candidate (a real socialist candidate that does not support the war machine) but instead getting a sock puppet I’d rather try to have the sock puppet instead of letting worse people win.
Then again what is the other Option? Not vote for either candidate like in 2024 and let Trump win?
I’m not a US citizen but I still act similar in my local elections - vote for the candidate that will do less evil when they’re in office, if there is no better option. And I gotta hand it to the DNC they’re really amazing at just cutting off their own legs. Because shooting themselves in the knee can’t describe this.

I mean you Gotta Hand it to “Ai” - it is very sophisticated, and Ressource intensive predicitive Text.

I did a similar thing with all my sheets - run over them with super high grit (400/800) sandpaper once or twice, clean with IPA and paper towels and since then I’ve never had any issues with prints not sticking

IMO that’s not the fault of Linux per se but of the manifacturers that only provide drivers/software for Windows and then let the community figure out the rest. The end result is the same just due to a different cause.

I’ve not user Klipper in a long while, but would it not suffice if Klipper knew 'Spool has 100m Filament left, print says it takes 110m, throw an error/require user confirmation to continue '?

Definitely! Mostly looking forward to see how/if other printers (especially Klipper) will support it

As far as I know most of Metabo’s stuff is made in the EU. Not everything mind you but in general I’ve heard very good things about them & the tools I’ve used from them (mitre saw) were pretty nice

I’ve seen and used AI for snippets of code and it’s pretty decent at that.
With my colleagues I always compare it to a battery powered drill. It’s very powerful and can make shit a lot easier. But you’d not try to build furniture from scratch with only a battery powered drill.
You need the knowledge to use it - and also saws, screws, the proper bits for those screws and so on and so forth.
Also it’ll simply not work. What hinders the offender to just buy it used? Or just have some friend who does not have an entry buy it?
