Are these AI decompiled games any good? I heard the Adobe ones looked good but we’re actually really slow and buggy

Some people print things at an angle I’ve heard. Uses more support material though
The FGC 9, for example, has a barrel that one can electro-chemically machine with 3d printed jigs, wire, salt water, hydraulic pipe, and a 12v battery

Labor unions leverage their labor in negotiations. I’m all for people being armed, but not for those types of negotiations.

12GB is a lot of ram. By small local models I am talking about fine tuning something like < 2GB LLM

Why can’t they just fine tune a small locally hosted model? Are they dumb?
Most gamers have a GPU anyways
You could travel so fast
I suppose it is a mixture, of both work and coworkers.
I like trying to “perfect my craft”. But also, I like spending time with my coworkers and getting to brainstorm and chat with them.
That being said I am also very fortunate to only have to work 36hrs per week. Pay is less than full time, but it can also just eat out less

I think it’s at least way more ethical to use locally hosted open weight AI. Mostly because a lot of these models are usually fine tuned and distilled to run on a single GPU and that is the direction the technology needs to develop to be sustainable.
Obviously for most things it’s way more ethical to just not use AI or LLMs.
I think people should at least experiment with running local models on their own hardware. It really puts it into perspective how much compute they use. Like the power, speed, and performance ratios of different size LLM and how absurd anything involving generating video is. I have a pretty beefy gaming PC and it took it like 6 minutes to generate 10 seconds of 720p video. And then that time goes up exponentially past 10 seconds. Like 20 minutes for a 15 second video
Running on a small model is basically like playing a modern full sized video game. When I measure my PC with a power meter
Not trying to be sarcastic, but do you not find joy in your work? I’ll ask for more work too when I run out of things to do as well.
I just like electronics and stuff though. And the boring/tedious parts of my job I think it is at least fun to try to automate or streamline them with python or other tools
You guys have free time at work? Kinda curious what you all do?
I am and Electrical Engineer and am usually busy all day. Sometimes I’ll head home a few hours early if i hit my hours for for the week or if I have to “hurry up and wait”
And Frodo doesn’t know Legolas’ name

Company is still ran by people though

It’s pretty interesting article. I actually dropped my Chad GPT subscription a few years ago and switched a locally hosting my own Ollama server for like privacy concerns.
I’m still going to continue to use my locally hosted large language models but I don’t know, its interesting to know that chat gpt seems to not care about user data except for training or making money.

I thought it was interesting how the article said that if ChatGPT was a human it would have been charged with murder.
Obviously I don’t think ChatGPT is a human but it does raise questions about the kind of laws regarding LLM and the companies behind them.
Like at what point do AI companies have a responsibility to step in in these scenarios?
Brave. I know some people don’t like it because of all the crypto nonsense, but I’ve never enabled any of that.
I really like it it’s built in ad and content blockers. Kinda random, but I love that you can block YouTube shorts. Idk, I just don’t like YouTube shorts or other short form videos like tik tok or Instagram
I’m thinking about trying zen again in the near future. At the time it seemed a little “too innovative” for me, but idk. I’ve been brower hopping a bit, because sometimes thing don’t work of Brave because of how much stuff I have it set up to block

Had something like this happen on my old ender 3. I replaced/upgraded the hotend and it went away
Same reason a lot of people don’t change their own oil in their vehicles.
Sometimes it’s just more convenient to pay someone else to do things
Oh wait you’re talking about fediverse instances. For me, I would be worried about reliability. Like if I was travelling and my apartment had a power outage or something
