…such as?

What’s up with PieFed?

For real, though: why do people hate this?

At that point, baking a cake is the least of your worries.

I thought that was 11/9?

Reddit too, if memory serves.

What sort of text processing? I rarely do this, so I usually just rely on things like sed, ed, sort, uniq, and other shell commands to handle this.

I’ve used Vim, NeoVim, Micro, mg(1), JOE, and even MS Edit (both the original DOS version and the recent Rust clone). No matter how complex and tailored I wrote my config, though, the features I actually used were included in GNU nano and/or my command shell without any of the bugs, bloat, learning curve, or slop.

Using it as my default just makes sense.

I thought OP meant being able to see notes arranged in a grid with text previews (á la Google Keep), rather than the usual filename list.

If it’s multitasking tiling they want, then Markor does do that, as it supports multiple windows.

Markor is, by far, the best.

They did start accepting AI-generated contributions a while ago, but the latest release (2.16.1) is still clean.

In addition to Markdown docs and to-dos, it also supports Org-Mode, AsciiDoc, ZimWiki, todo.txt, and (of course) plaintext.

However, it does not have a tiled view.

What’s with the hair?

I can’t go to clubs or listen to the sound of Velcro™, and I don’t like the texture of paper. Also, most autistic people I meet assume I am also autistic.

The fact that I can also give a basic history of the ITV network, install Gentoo, and theorise as to why none of the characters in The Simpsons ever age is just the icing on the cake.

Bad News: My old GitHub repos are there.

Good News: I wrote that shit when I was 12. The code runs, but it’s not good and not inventive.

I’d say so, yes. The main differences are that the pricing is a little different ($6 per month, rather than €5), the service is based in Gibraltar (a non-UK British Overseas Territory), and it doesn’t offer as many anti-censorship features (just V2Ray over TCP or over QUIC).

Personally, I like it.

Ah, I see. It can be difficult to convey sentiment in text.

You also have an upvote.

I usually buy grounds from elsewhere, or just drink energy drinks; but I’m currently at my grandparents’ place, and all of their stuff is decaf.

I also remember someone here (or on the other sub) wanting to know about non-American coffee brands, so I thought I’d post it.

No worries. It’s tricky finding decent software these days!

Fair bit of AI-generated code, I’m afraid: https://slopscan.ava.pet/repo/https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fdegoog-org%2Fdegoog

Interesting. I don’t see a lot of software written in Clojure!
