We’re used to white vinegar up here. First time I asked for vinegar in the US and got this malt thingy I was very disappointed lol

Android Auto just shitting the bed on me across multiple devices. Constant crashes. Maybe it’s my carc, but CarPlay works just fine on the same head unit and USB port. A wireless AA dongle didn’t help, neither did a bunch of different cables of various quality, so it’s either AA itself or the head unit. Anyway, I’m not changing cars because of this, and when upgrade time came, I just bought iPhone. I’m not totally sold on either platform, to be perfectly honest…
I’m curious what made it that complicated. Was the Synology OS (DSM they call it right?) fighting you along every step or something? As far as I know it’s a custom Linux OS but I have no idea what it’s based on, or if it’s even based on a specific distribution… I could definitely see it being a challenge depending on the answers haha.
Either we stuff way too many things in our pockets, or we too have some kind of bag. I don’t think I ever go out of my place without my backpack if I have to bring more than my key/wallet/phone combo.
We sometimes also opt for irresponsibly not carrying what we need to get through the day.
I can definitely agree with this last formulation. But I don’t agree that I need an optimistic outlook into something to do said thing.
You seem to be equating realism with pessimism and immobilism, while equating optimism and action. Why?
That’s rhum for me…
Real life and responsibilities stop me, my man. Also mental health management. But thanks for asking.
Who said this is what sex ed is about?
Don’t know what’s so funny about that. Teaching your toddler that not everyone can touch their genitals is sex ed, and should absolutely be done as soon as they can understand it…
Mate, I’m barely lifting myself up certain days, can I get a break from being responsible for others’ self-development, dunno, at least half the days?
I guess we could say “humane”, or “as quick and painless as possible”?
Apparently similar to pork, but tougher.
My sister’s partner is like that. His whole family is the same, from what I could see. It’s not as natural for me, despite my family not being particularly cold either. It’s a me problem, though, so IMHO it shouldn’t deter you. Keep normalizing that shit.
United Russia is the ruling party since the fall of USSR and is absolutely conservative by any definition of the term. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation, their main political opponent, that is indeed communist, hasn’t been elected, ever.
Eh, I just generally avoid Nvidia on Linux hosts unless I specifically need it. Their driver situation is better than it was, but still sucks.
Pretty much the only thing I use Tailscale for is remotely SSHing from my phone to my home NAS, and they definitely don’t manage my keys. They do have a “Tailscale SSH” feature I don’t use…
If it wasn’t that it’s Nvidia and that you bought this specifically for Linux, I’d have told you to keep the Nvidia, as you did get a significantly better card for the price you paid.
Yup. I haven’t bought shaving supplies since when I bought mine in 2020. Bought a bunch of shaving cream in sticks, a decent brush with a lather bowl, an okay handle with a bunch of blades, and I still have enough supplies for years to come.
