First of, you should address the false equivalency here.
First of, you should address the false equivalency here.
Maybe the point is such a system that only works on numbers is inhumane and should be avoided? Economics people want to argue within economic frameworks which don’t work well if some assumed market conditions don’t exist. I have never seen reality work quite as described when free market breaks down and MNCs control government policymaking
Econ 101 is just a beginners class. It doesn’t make sense to claim that Econ 101 is comprehensive or rigorous.
My problem with economics is that it takes economic theory and tries to prescribe it to reality… rather than explain the reality of it. It is also quite vague about what happens when institutions that deliberately meddle with fundamental assumptions like that of a free market… like Multimillion dollar MNCs that manipulate governments and essentially are policy makers who shape the market itself.
Does economic theory hold good when the free market ceases to exist as described by it?
Does the Econ101 class also teach you to assume that humans are rational consumers?
Hey don’t pretend that you didn’t migrate as well.
Hey but that wouldn’t make money to companies like google ot samsung.
Your smartphone is itself a security hole. It has 10+ sensors on it nowadays and who knows how many apps lying about their privacy promises.
There’s no such thing as perfect security… unless your application is trivial and doesn’t do very much. Android is designed to collect data from the dozen plus sensors on your phone in order to get money from app vendors to push ads.
Android as a system has too many moving parts. You not only have to worry about various device manufacturers compiling their own versions of AOSP, you have to worry about how manufacturers package unremovable apps like facebook, candy crush, etc.
The backdoor is actually the front door… and it is app vendors who are actually the customers… not the phone owners.
The main reason smartphones took off is that business people were salivating at an always on, always listening device with 10+ sensors collecting data on this whole world. And we pay for the privilege.
Android has to be designed to collect data and show you ads. Is it really surprising that security here is just security against free access to this data from outsiders… and not caring about your security?
Hey I was just trying to make a joke… but looks like I didn’t consider the wording too carefully.
Hey, this is the history of human civilization since humans existed. You want an answer for why people don’t give up on their ideologies?
More like stock buybacks
More like cyclops genetics
Hey it’s not like we can pick and choose what old fucks like to say on TV or to the press… especially if it’s conveniently what Israel apologists want to happen.
As a developer this question is hilarious to me
Normally that level of coordination is impossible among different companies, at least some would keep prices lower to retain customers.
The biggest con in the world. You would think people are not capable of organizing for a common cause.
That level of coordination IS possible when all you need is a bunch of CXOs and investors in a union.
You think collusion to keep prices is not possible? Does that people people agreeing on a specific set of laws and policies living in a demarcated region (a country) is not possible?
Execs should be drawn and quartered
The problem is it’s incredibly hard to switch off the years of information accumulated in your brain and pretend to be a beginner when communicating your thoughts.
Google lost the Artificial Intelligence race… so now they’re trying to win the race to Artificial Stupidity.
Probably paid to report on it for attention.
