I think a lot of the downvotes I’ve gotten are from people who haven’t been exposed to much water. I grew up in Australia, we’re almost all trained swimmers.
But even here swimming lessons aren’t common before 5.

Kid was 5, went on a short walk to an open body of water where he would get feathers unsupervised.
When drowning is the second largest cause of deaths in children, I don’t think this is an acceptable level of risk.
Trial will determine whether that’s true or not though.

Interested to see where people move to. I didn’t know about it before but I’d like tobe involved now.

Well, their tone and lack of support for the latest pixel kinda does make me think that’s not true.
But I love a good conspiracy theory.
Like birds.
They’re not real

I think you misunderstand what is being said.
The point is that the post makes it sound like using a Pixel 11 under Android results in less security than before, but for most people there is no change since they never used MTE anyway.
That’s not what they’re saying. They’re saying Graphene without MTE is less secure, which isn’t something they want.
Which you can read from their post here
We strongly recommend against buying Pixel 11 devices. Pixel 8, 9 and 10 have much better overall security for GrapheneOS. Pixel 10 is cheaper with similar hardware and MTE. Pixel 11’s Titan M3 should improve BFU security for users without a strong passphrase, but losing MTE craters AFU security.

Well, wet dirt is permeable and my understanding was they needed to stop the radioactive material leeching into the water table. Which would have caused radiation poisoning and cancer rates to soar for much of Europe.
It also was not stupid from start to finish. If it were, it would still be uncovered and half of Europe would need to be evacuated.
IMO the biggest problems were to do with the reactor design being secret. That and the attempted coverup afterwards. But I wouldn’t consider the cleanup to have been incompetent. The Chernobyl liquidators have been widely credited with limiting the effects of the disaster.

That’s definitely not accurate. For example, stopping the water table from being as polluted under the conditions meant having to use people.
They could also have just not bothered.
I’m not saying that their response didn’t kill a lot of people.
It did.
I’m saying it could have been much worse sr

5000 would have been a massive undercount too

We do, but that isn’t a necessary component… Anyways, good joke.

This is the kind of dumb shit that only capitalism can promote

I found the bot guys!

SPR oil is sold competitively when the President finds, pursuant to the conditions set forth in the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), that a sale is required. Historically, the President has authorized emergency releases from the SPR on four occasions.
In short, yes I believe this to be the case

I dunno, sounds like a bunch of lies tbh. Like, he isn’t quiet, but how much of what he’s saying is coherent, let alone how much of what he’s been told is true?

They’re selling the strategic petroleum reserve.

Watched the video. Its clearly calligraphic script. He investigated everything but the most obvious thing.
Could have been a paragraph.
Might not have the hair for too long. Though you might. Depends on the tolerance for testosterone. Just know that high testosterone and baldness are highly correlated
Mostly you’d expect them to be bald

Won’t somebody think of the children (in a non-creepy way that doesn’t focus on their genitals)?!

May not be proven, but we know it was trump
Historically, bodies of water are the most dangerous. Not just due to drowning but the constant threat of predators at the waters edge.
But the biggest problem with your statistic is that most kids just simply don’t have access to large bodies of water regularly. If you were to factor that in, I think you’d find the risk is much, much higher.
