  • I work two jobs and an overall very busy life. I’ve started to outsource more. If I outsource, I can also spend that time working to make even more money so I guess the answer is “it depends” but I used to spend my time learning how to fix my vehicle and stuff. If it’s something that will take me a few hours and I’ll save a few hundred bucks ill do it myself. If it’s a big job its not worth my time.

  • I’m sorry to hear about your situation, sadly I think this is the future for many younger individuals. A few years ago I started a side gig which I do at the same time I do my full time job. It’s been steadily growing year over year and I’m finally starting to feel like I can breathe.

But that’s the hard part, isn’t it? The idea. I don’t know what you do for work, but is it possible you can do two jobs at once? Or some kind of online work after hours? I’m trying to remember what I know one person does, but it’s like they have to go online and validate certain data for websites or something. They get a set amount of hours they need to work and it’s flexible so it can be done like any time, even off their phone if I reall correctly. And apparently it didn’t pay too badly either.

Dog walking is a thing too. Sorry I have shit ideas, I’m not very creative either.

  • I don’t get your point. This isn’t an attack, this is a cheap consumer company doing what they do best and stealing your personal information because $ and other crap. If this happened in enterprise they’d be in so much shit with laws. Cisco, juniper, Aruba, etc are not going to be shipping off your passwords because that liability is going to be a big problem.

Enterprise level stuff also charge top dollar and don’t need to sell your data to make more money.

If enterprise level stuff we’re doing this intentionally they’d be out of business. This would not fly with SOC and other security designations.

Additionally just because a consumer uses enterprise gear, that does not make them a larger target. I’m not Microsoft. No state attacker is going to want my worthless data.
