I do understand what are you saying. My fucks come from the fact that they, not all but the absolute majority of them, actively pulled that fucking ladder up and made every generation after them bear the horrible fruits of their decisions. There are so many options, but since I assume it would be your first linux, I’d start with something that just works at once and does everything you say you need in your comment. Zorin OS will just work at once (I might not prefer this dist myself, but I’m 20 years in the linux game… this is a distro that just works really well for first timers, and it’s a good distro).

1. Download the free Zorin OS Core version (it’s the full OS with no limitations).
2. Download Etcher.
3. Put a USB drive (min 4GB) in your computer, start Etcher and select the Zorin OS file (image) you downloaded and select the USB you put in your computer, press “Flash!”. Wait for it to finish.
4. Restart computer and boot from the USB drive (usually, right after your computer restarts, you press F9 repeatedly)
5. Fallow instructions and when done installing, restart and; you’re free from Windows!
6. Enjoy!

Too much money and power is on line for the ruling class, be it republicans or democrats, to ever release all the files, whatever the law says (law isn’t a thing for those with money and power in US). If you want to understand your setup (which is quite important, in my opinion), there is no way around the fact that you will have to spend some time reading about the services you use. Agree. And what have we seen so many times before in autocracies and dictatorships and now, every day, in America? That without democracy; there is no guarantee that you will be able to wake up with your family from one day to the other. That is what’s at stake, here. US is beyond legislation. The law does not matter anymore. Nothing can save US but the actual patriots of America. At any cost. It will be a tough decision to make but, as a devout lover of democracy, I wish there are enough patriots who understand the position US is in. Agree. But again, I’m not used to these kind of games so the average player might get the hang of it in a couple of hours… (plus, the first 20:ish hours I mostly just took it all in, the views, the atmosphere of it, like a digital walk in the nature… time just went by)

This was kinda me too, hence me stopped play it after some 20h in, and let it rest for half a year… recently I decided to give it another go, and when you get the hang of the huge amount of controls in this game, ie; when you can play “smooth” with the controls and the animations that come with them different button clicks, it’s such a game changer (at least for me). Not gonna lie, it took me about 30-40 hours to get comfortable and be productive/effective with how to play this game (these kind of games aren’t my goto though, I’m more of a Tetris guy, haha)

I was really, really late into this game. Now, 70h in, I’m like “this is a very good game, dude!”. (makes my cheap ass, waiting for it to go to sale seem… well, I am poor, but I know I wouldn’t have been disappointed, paying full price for it, and I’m not even near completing it, yet…)

Yeah, I understand that. It’s horrible. US is in deeply troubled spot now, but some time the will need to act, in whatever way necessary, if they want to save their democracy. And the longer that act is taking to enforce; the more uncomfortable it will be to perform. My fear is that they won’t act before it’s too late (if it isn’t already, but I want to believe that it isn’t), if the worlds biggest democracy completely falls; that sends a message to all conservative movements on the globe that their undemocratic ways is a winning strategy. The heat is on US, for now, there are many in the works elsewhere (very much including my country, our next biggest party is a MAGA/NAZI party; we have our much similar battles here, too, not yet as extreme, but very concerning either way).
