Every time they make a news announcement on a different platform, just make a tweet that says “Hey, Valve news update here: <link>. BTW, fuck Elon”
Easier said than done but they’d hardly be the first.

Can confirm, lil bro can indeed hear sounds (and since his eyes are pretty bad, it is sometimes like ESP)

It’s also on Fleeb.

William Gibson (author of Neuromancer among other things, not all of them good) published an article about Singapore 30 years ago. It’s titled Disneyland with the Death Penalty.
33 years later and much of this is still very relevant. It has dated somewhat, but accurately reflects what I experienced in Singapore during work travel over the past few years.
At the least, if you’re interested in what dystopian science fiction writers think about Singapore it certainly dropped some puzzles pieces into place for me.

Ah man now I’m curious. What faction? We maybe crossed paths. I was dominantly NC in D1RE/SHOK, VS in CIVZ back in my early days.

100% agree. I was a Briggs veteran for a long time after the peak. My username (not this one) is in the RecordSmash official post recognising the 1158-player world record. The Daybreak takeover was concerning, but we pushed through.
But realistically I just “accomplished” everything I reasonably could have, and then they took my server away from me. My time with the game ended, but I have no regrets. What a phenomenal experience it was at the time.

Yeah that’s fair, I am personally leaning deeper into things like the Echo Mini or soon to be released Echo Nano from their sub brand. I think DAPs are in a weird place, and do wish there was a higher quality iPod-like solution.

Yeah, that’s totally fair. I prefer wired listening devices and want less “smart” things in my life. At the moment my music library is about 180GB so a bit much for the smaller available offline devices, and mostly FLAC so the DAC needs to be powerful enough. Absolutely a me problem, as I mentioned in another comment my hobby rabbit hole into audio makes the full decouple very appealing to me.

Yeah I have dabbled with hosted music, but I do mean “offline” device + storage. Like MP3 players of old. I have also been blursed with an interest in audio gear so it becomes a very appealing rabbit hole for me.

While you’re not wrong, and at the moment I am the same, there is also something very appealing to me about decoupling music from my phone.

Also plenty of low tech Chi-fi options like Fiio/Snowsky.

Marketplace is very alive and kicking, it’s shocking how much more active it is since COVID.
I will also say that FB has sucked a lot of attention away from traditional forum spaces - Australia’s Netrider for example. It’s much better to seek answers and ask questions in the motorcycle Facebook page for your model. Sadly. The introduction of anonymous group posting is a good thing though.

Reverse Newtonian metal sheet. I think that’s doable in my lifetime.

And boy have those rabbits killed a lot of cables. My big boy chewed through the thick plastic spiral cable sheath. No cable is powerful enough to be bunny proof is what I’ve learned.
Do you remove covers from books that you read? Scratch out the name on bottles or cans of drink? Does your car or bicycle or skateboard have a logo on it?
What you are doing is removing an individual artists ability to make a living. They’ll probably have to go work for a corporation that does advertising.
Human to human attribution “made this meal? It’s so delicious!” Isn’t advertising, it’s community. It’s connection. As soon as you put a stakeholder or faceless business entity in the way, it’s an ad.
What you are doing just feels like actively defacing art, and depriving their creators or authors of recognition and credit. Which, to be clear, MOST USERS HERE WANT TO GIVE. You’re also depriving THIS community of its ability to show appreciation.
Sort your shit out and either go to the effort of putting the artist in the post title, link in the sub heading, stop cropping, or stop posting.

This user has a vendetta against ads, which to them includes artist signatures / websites / social handles.
Came to the comments hoping for some wisdom… Nope, everyone is in the same boat!

Bring back the Spanish Armada
Don’t fool yourself, it is also a very hard game once you get into the complex levels. Even if the UI was great I would still struggle.
I remember the handbook and typing in the codes to skip to the hardest levels… I doubt I could do it today
What about gen Z? Metaphysically?
