Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•I saw your face in a crowded place
5·9 months agoTrains AND high schools in Utah?

For science (and alcohol), I had a dude kick me in the nuts. I have not tested vagina kicking on a willing participant yet, so I don’t really have any data.
I’m not a girl and I do a lot of things for money.
Like working a job, lying about my day, saying pleasantries at coworkers, to doing live meetings with bosses which is like Only Fans but internal.
Dicks are soft and squishy. Even when it’s harden, it’s vulnerable to pain.

Betty White is a tough cookie and I can see her saying that.
Real question - how does one host a Lemmy that accepts all sorts of content without having to keep constant tabs on it?
Like, if we did sprinkle nsfw content throughout dozens of Lemmy servers?
I’m asking this because I hosted a pixelfed server one time, allowed thousand users, and those abuse reports became hard on my soul. Some were pretty vanilla nsfw. But some required me to forward it to 3-letter agencies in the States. And while I’m not a fan of talking to the cops, I’m also not a fan of awful shit on my server.

4·9 months agoHonestly I miss early AI.
I miss the ugly art. I miss the weird tangents. I miss Will Smith eating spaghetti and consuming himself.
I know you can set up a quick AI to relive this… But it was better when it was the norm.

That’s what makes this piece of the internet so cool.

6·9 months agoThat’s what happened in Cyberpunk. Internet became garbage because of rogue AI.
Apparently there’s a video of him reacting to it in real time.
Which is even funnier that he couldn’t have been bothered to watch whatever this Alt-Halftime show was.

663·9 months agoIt’s really frustrating reading Lemmy commenters like, “America do something!” Like God damn! The news doesn’t want to report on all the work the millions of Americans have been doing to protect our streets because they’re paid by billionaires.
Pretty much. Going to bet that maga nut had that whole complaint prepared days in advance for this.

15·9 months agoNot sure who is downvoting this. If you’re young, you may have never experienced this in your life. But this comment nailed it.
I’ve reached an age where Im reminded of this constantly at all levels.
- I’m here for the money or conservative principles, never intended to change anything, and didn’t sign up for this shit: Retiring to my Swiss chalet.
This one is the most common from my perspective. A lot of cheery hopefuls run for politics for one or two very specific causes. Then after watching the slow machine of government move and it takes 9 months to even get traction on their cause, they check out mentally and are just staying for the money.
In my town, while ICE is kidnapping people off the street, half of the local gov are silent because their political platform was to upgrade a park’s dog area, or provide snacks for libraries, not dealing with armed masked goons.
For every AOC out there, there’s a thousand acting gov officials that quietly just want a paycheck and healthcare, and then causally run again unopposed.

A part of me wonders if Obama really wanted to say that. But then again, Obama is also part of the corporate machine.
