The same could be said of Skyrim, but tons of people loved it and it’s still a great framework for modding if Bethesda themselves don’t give it a good storyline.
Tenet is pretty much about power and greed too. Sator’s greed for power. And hatred for the world we live in.
The backstory of him being helped (and commanded) by people from the future who want to reverse time because we fucked up the planet and therefore life in the future is shit, is pretty much just about climate change.
The movie wasn’t that deep tbh. Nolan throws in some time inversion stuff for the wow factor and because it looks cool, but tbh it’s just “let’s blow up the world to fix a big problem” (classic case of a villain with a relatable goal) vs the good guys with “the world has loads of people living in it, we can’t just blow it up”.
Personally I liked it. Don’t think it was a cinematic masterpiece you need to be incredibly cultured to understand or anything though.
The other one is Ross, that was Mike’s last name in the show.
Yeah I’m not gonna be paying for NordVPN. They’ve got this much money for ads and when buying 2 years at a time they’re cheaper than, say, Mullvad? Suspicious.
I do like some of the channels’ sponsor segments though. Internet Historian is great, OverSimplified can do pretty good ones. The Map Men are pure gold. But I’ve never bought into anything they’ve shilled at me, nor do I feel like I want to.
Personally, I also hadn’t even heard of these until now. Maybe they’re just not being marketed to the tech enthusiast crowd as we’re the sorta people who’d diss it for the privacy implication?
yet they didn’t bat an eye at the established creepers doing that already with smartphones
I don’t think anyone’s happy about that either, but the problem with Google Glass (and now even worse with the Facebook ones) is that they’re pretty damn subtle. You notice someone taking out their phone to take a photo of you, but just looking towards you with sunglasses on? Welllllll yeah.
It’s not as round as 65536, but it’s still round enough for me.
Now I’m just imagining a table or something with deceptive appearances where it seems narrow, but the legs sit wider, so you’re prone to hitting your little toe, called “FFFUCKING OWWWuh!”, but in Swedish of course
Tbh I was thinking more about how I as an Estonian would pronounce it and what language that would sound closest to.
“they” haven’t improved in that they still put out shit games; They’ve improved 76 yes, but they still put out crap too.
On that note, how is Cyberpunk still 60 euros on Steam? I know it’s been getting better with the DLC and everything, but the game’s been out for ages.
That said, I might have to buy Phantom Liberty. I bought and finished the base game like 2 or 3 years ago I think and I really enjoyed it even back then.
“Break a leg” is close, but more reserved for some grand performance
So in Estonian we have a bunch of those I don’t remember because nobody uses them anymore. But the main one everyone knows is “Kivi kotti” (literally, stone/rock in your bag, but much like with “break a leg”, you actually wish them well). It’s still basically “good luck” but not so much for grand performances, it could just be for your first day of work, or going fishing (the real origin I guess). There’s also “Nael kummi” which is “nail in your tire”, which is reserved for people driving somewhere.
FükkenScälden sounds more like Swedish to me tbh.
I mean it IS a nice round number and you can’t tell me any different.
They said “classic looking exterior” which the new beetle doesn’t have. But problem is, you can’t really have that, largely due to safety regulations, etc.
I suppose they’re extremely common in comparison to other countries. I’ve never heard of them happening in mine since the 90s when we actually had violent crime.
We still have car theft, it’s just that they get stolen while parked.
Extremely common in absolute terms? Hell nah, there are a lot of unpleasant things more likely to happen to you in the US than carjackings.
I think the idea here is more that there’s one rider support agent per like 100 riders at any time vs one driver per rider
Qbittorrent, plex or jellyfin and if you’re into it, the arr suite for automation, all configured in a single docker compose file. It’s beautiful. But I don’t know if it’s as nice under Windows (if that’s what you’re using). For Linux it’s definitely super nice
That was just a bad ordering of words in that sentence. He failed to get re-elected and then a few years later he and his wife started building houses for the needy.
So what do you like about it and what do you dislike about it? I haven’t tried it yet, might pick it up when it costs about as much as a hamburger with fries, but probably not before.
