We’ve had mourning doves nest in gutters and reusing old robin nests in thin trees. They never rebuilt in the gutter after removing the nest (it was empty) but they still used the feeder and bird bath every year until they started using an old robin nest. They like more open nesting areas so a deeper nesting box might be why you aren’t seeing them return.

The first time I heard about this was in 2013 and, in 2019, I had a local government management class where wifi sensing in busy downtown areas and stadiums was discussed as a plus side to municipal wifi installations.
