I wouldn’t say it’s just long COVID there’s prejudice against. It’s a lot of the hidden disorders -ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, POTS, ehlers-danlos syndrome etc etc. I think long COVID has brought more interest and research to some of the other conditions

I think you potentially have a rose tinted lens looking at beekeeping. I’m personally a consumer of honey. But bees get killed / squished when conducting hive maintenance. They’re bread solely for the purpose of honey collection and pollination. Their over farming causes issues for other pollinators.

The problem is not that you shorten your life by 5 years and are healthy up until death. It’s that the last 10 years of your life is spent with medical / hospital admissions because of the liver failure, heart disease, brain disease etc due to alcohol, smoking et cetera

Id recommend picking popular solutions (so there’s lots of guides / videos) and then over time as you build skill set around problem solving / maintenance etc you can move to more fully self hosted services ?
