God how i wish anyone I worked with understood throwing bodies at every problem doesn’t mean it gets fixed faster. On the the other end of problems, they don’t understand a developer can’t just start developing on immediately on complex application.

As someone who works with timezones as a developer it doesnt really matter I don’t think. Timezone are already kind of a mess of a concept and honestly I just want it tp stop changing, I don’t really care which way.
I don’t know about every state, but in the US state I live in, if the tipped employee’s tips and wage amount to less than the true minimum wage (not the server minimum wage) the employer is legally required to make up the difference. I just confirmed this on my states labor department’s website (which I will not share as to not dox myself) I’m sure there are other states that have similar laws too.
For anyone who has worked for a large company that was around for the IBM mainframe days, it’s hilarious watching them try to remove the mainframe from their tech stack, while simultaneously becoming dependent on AI.
Those who would commit atrocity use dehumanizing language to justify horrible things. Let’s leave that to the fascist of the world. We don’t have to act as if a person isn’t human to recognize their evil. Humans are capable of great love and great evil. Avoiding dehumanizing someone is not forgiving them for the terrible things they have done. Why do you need to view something as not human to recognize it’s evil? That, honestly worries me. We can serve justice to these terrible people and still call them human.

I am able to get mine running on Kubuntu. I have a Lenovo legion s7 slim laptop with a mobile 3060 GPU. I would not choose Nvidia if I could (can’t afford to replace my laptop), but it is possible in theory to get them working, just finicky. From my understanding it has become a lot better in recent history though. Nvidia says the latest drivers (I think the version is like 580) is compatible with pretty much all modern Nividia GPUs (so like 3xxx series and up).
Yeah that is me 😢 it’s not a fun existence, bought my laptop when I still used windows and don’t have the money to get one without Nvidia GPU. It is working (right now), but I just got over having to nuke my install because trying to fix issues with it recently caused issues with other drivers for some reason.
I am definitely not an expert on Iran, so I will not say whether Iran truly has a history of human rights abuses or not, but I have to say the citations of that Wikipedia article ia full of citations from sources that have clear vested interest in the United State hegemony. This is the exact kind of Wikipedia article teachers warned aginst citing when I was in school.
