You’re right that it doesn’t mean cash on hand, but it does indicate they could liquidate some of that or borrow against it themselves.

Absolutely. Home use is what got me interested in them in the first place. I love to DIY stuff (recently I’ve been building planar speakers from scratch) and had the crazy idea of building one for my house.
I’m very hopeful for flow batteries to improve to a point where they can be very cheaply installed at scale. Seems much better environmentally than lithium ion, and the drawbacks matter less for grid storage.
I’ve seen it reported that if you count plea bargains as convictions, which is much closer to how Japan calculates conviction rate, that the US conviction rate is essentially the same as the Japanese one.
Yes, but that’s the cost of being considerate
Aubrey Plaza. She’s way hotter than me (that’s kinda the point), and not half Japanese (will make the racist parts confusing and/or hilarious) but she could definitely pull off my resting bitch face and general disdain for everything.
In Hawaii every county did it independently around 10 years ago. Some counties have done it better than others. I don’t think I’ve had a single plastic bag on the big island in that entire time, but when I’m on Oahu I occasionally get them (for example the Apple Store thicker plastic bags that are “reusable”—somewhat true).
I don’t see people treating reusable bags as disposable, but it’s also completely acceptable here to just bring a cart full of stuff unbagged from target to your car here if you didn’t bring bags (groceries people will get paper if they forgot). I don’t think that’s as acceptable other places.
FYI, We know the way is in Samoan and Tokelauan.
Fun fact, Disney worked with the University of Hawaii on a Hawaiian language dub of the movie and Auili’i Cravalho voiced Moana in that version as well. I watch it on occasion to practice my very poor Hawaiian language skills.
SHOUTING_SNAKE_CASE aka SCREAMING_SNAKE_CASE is the best case for all use cases, because it gives you a chance to use its wonderful names.
A few months ago I bought some old (quite good) speakers. My first step, of course, was to use a calibrated mic to measure them. One measured way better than the other. Took them apart and realized at some point someone had connected wires incorrectly on one of the tweeters causing it to be out of phase. Do you know what this means?
I REVERSED THE POLARITY AND FIXED MY AUDIO PROBLEM. That day I became a Starfleet Engineer.
TNG aired during my childhood, and I did watch it, but the occasional TOS marathon is really what got me into it.
Am gay; can confirm.
My dad has been in the US far longer than his birth country of Japan, having moved in his 20s. His English is excellent in terms of vocabulary and grammar, but his accent is very strong. I, on the other hand, having been exposed to the language when young and living in Japan for just one year, have a much better Japanese accent than he does English but am far worse in all other aspects.
I test drove one recently. I have very little need for it; don’t haul much that frequently, but it drove way better than I expected, and I really wanted it for no good reason.
Only the Gorn are truly immune, and this makes me think Godzilla is just the final form of the gorn.
Sisko says “Maybe it was Bell”, I like to think it was, that Bell had the hacking skills to do it himself.
The images recorded in history changed from the real bell’s face to sisko’s which to me says it wasn’t a predestination paradox, the real bell did it the first time, and sisko did it the second.
Was the part with the two legs added in an edit? It was there by the time I commented (obviously, as I mentioned it). Without that part, then yeah, that description is off
I think you are saying the same thing in a different manner. The other two lobes being the “legs” at the bottom. Looking at pictures of sugar maple leaves, both descriptions fit to me.
