I like Steam, but I am trying to shop at GOG more and more. No DRM has become a big selling feature for me. I remember the days when Google was one of the “cool” companies that made tech better. Now I am suspicious of all tech companies.

25 years on and still hoping they bring back Myth…
He was later arrested when police found micro USB pics on his computer.

They do it and then cash in on Polymarket bets based on advance knowledge.

Weird, I thought he loved kids…

It would be good to know the refund rate on other games before deciding if this is a problem specific to short games. Maybe that 90% positive review would have been much, much lower if people couldn’t get refunds. A $5 game with 70% reviews is not getting 250,000 sales.

Because they are all owned by the same people.
The price is still reasonable for me. I don’t want to switch services because they might enshitrify someday.

Why do we need a separate bill for social media companies to remove content that sexually victimizes children? Existing laws would have worked, if they had been enforced.
Also, not regulating AI chatbot use for children because it hasn’t been studied yet is moronic. It is absolutely obvious that AI has serious cognitive impacts on adults. This generation doesn’t have any chance.

BG 3 was excellent but only because of Larian. The D&D ruleset hurt the end result, IMO.

I like Dungeon Crawler Carl but Kaiju felt like torture porn to me. I did not enjoy it.

They might remove their Canadian servers but you can use Mullvad without giving them any personal information. The government would need to block Mullvad or Mullvad would need to block Canadian IPs.
I doubt Mullvad would block Canadian IPs; it would be a bit antithetical to their business model. The Canadian government couldn’t really go after a company without any Canadian presence either.
Gold does have practical value. It doesn’t oxidize or tarnish at standard temperature and pressure, it is soft enough to beat into shape with a hammer and it can be rolled out incredibly thinly. If it were as common as iron, we would see it used everywhere. Gold sewer pipes, gold roofing, even gold foil to wrap your sandwich.

Notepad’s sole purpose is to remove formatting from copied text.
It isn’t explicitly stated in the book or the movie.
Edit:typo

I want an awesome RTS, like Wings of Liberty, but I would absolutely play a StarCraft shooter with a really good story and gameplay. I have zero interest in another Overwatch or extraction shooter. I expect another low-effort reskin.

I much prefer their isometric titles anyway.

According to the article, $150,000 is the maximum damages allowed per track. So $150,000/track * 86,000,000 tracks is around $13 Trillion. So they are asking for the maximum that the law allows.
They could ask for infinity billion dollars for all it matters; you can’t get blood from a stone.
Heroic has worked well for me so far. I haven’t noticed download speed issues, but I grew up with dial-up…
