Rate limit exceeded… sounds like reddit has a new limit as to what actions can be taken within a set period of time.

Some potential ideas:

If you’re using a VPN, then they are counting up for every action taken by every user of that same VPN server.

If you’re not using a VPN, then maybe your ISP has rolled you over to a new IP address that was previously used for bot traffic.

Or maybe it’s rolled over and the old IP address is now being used for bot traffic, and they’re associating that with your account somehow.

There might not be GamePass exclusives yet, but Amazon’s Luna has exclusives such as the Batman: Caped Crusadar Chronicles game.

I’ve played a few of them, but I loved playing Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri (SMAC) the most. My favorite was playing as Gaia’s Stepdaughters since you could quickly get control of the planet’s “mind worms” which were units that would never go obsolete.

Instead of recommending OpenStreetMap.org, I would suggest Cartes.app as the Google maps replacement (uses OSM data). It contains most features that Google Maps users are used to and will feel familiar to them. OpenStreetMap is more of the backend for mapping apps rather than a direct replacement for Google Maps.

Cartes for most features (satellite view, reviews, shareable links that work for anyone, etc.) and CoMaps for offline/driving directions.

When there’s not enough of something, the price goes up. This incentivizes someone to make more of it and put it out into the market, which in turn will drive the price back down.

The problem here is that there are very few places in the world with the capability of producing these higher end electronics and practically only 3 companies in charge of this. So, if they collude together as a “triopoly”, they can artificially raise prices.

The answer may be displayed on every computer at startup, but apparently enough people had the same question to the point where at least 2-3 other users were asking OP about the solution. Their web search for the answer was leading them straight to that post.

It also doesn’t help that some motherboards have Fast Boot enabled and almost every Windows user has Fast Startup enabled by default.

That might work for some games, but there’s an increasing number of games requiring you to establish some sort of connection to the internet even for single player or mostly single player games (Lego Horizon for instance).

Try to transfer one of those and load it up on a new console without an internet connection.

Sure, your “home console” might work for some games for now. But in 10-15 years when Sony is trying to sell you the PS8, they’re going to be cutting off service to the PS5. What happens when you have to take that device in for maintenance and they need to do a factory reset? You need to log in again to activate it, except now it’s a brick that might only be able to play a few games on physical media. Anything downloaded/backed up would likely require that specific account.

Definitely depends on the game. For something like StarCitizen, there’s a small bar at the bottom when shaders are compiling for letting you know the status. There is a noticeable improvement in game performance once the shaders have completed compiling.
