Terrestrial planet, gas giant planet, ice giant planet, dwarf planet.

Have you never heard of running a check?
No. You move. We Americans will repair the damage.
Once they’re determined to fuck with your stuff, they’re no longer random. It’s just to delay the occasional dingleberry with a multi tool until they get distracted and forget.
“Huh, doesnt fit. Oh well, guess I’ll carve some folk art into the shitter door.”
Then you can just spackle over the swastikas, but you don’t usually have to reassemble the privacy panels.
Tamper proof is to prevent random idiots from messing with your stuff.

DRM = copy protection
I didn’t say new store, I said vintage. If you don’t have one, I’d be surprised. There’s gonna be one somewheres nearby.
As for aging media, you’re right about that. Best make sure we reform copyright law soon. They don’t deserve to gatekeep the entire world’s cultural history.
Of course today’s politics apply! Nothing about the 1940s applies to today’s grid. They’ve had 80 years to get your lousy grid up to a modern standard and every year the rest of us have to bail your state out when it inevitably breaks down. They’ve had 80 years to soak you suckers for every last penny they can, but instead of making them fix their hardware and lower prices, you’d rather strut around bragging you could be your own independent country. It doesn’t make y’all look good.
When I think small town, I’m thinking a couple hundred people. I’ve never seen such stores there. Medium is a few thousand. They usually have one.
The nice thing is that there are millions of discs and players still out there. For anyone who prefers physical media and avoids streaming (this guy!) there is no shortage. Prices could stand to come down. But even if they do quit making them, there are lifetimes worth of vintage media, and newer isn’t always better.
Really? Because used media stores are booming all over the place. Stores that sell new and used records alongside CDs, Movies, and video games seem to be in every mid size town I pass through.
Except that the only reason your grid is independent is so they can cut corners on quality and soak you for every penny they can. If they were connected to the rest of the country they’d have to conform to superior codes.
Found one they missed!
Nope gotta taste them all.
Yes. We understand that the difference is the lack of redundancy in your grid due entirely to profiteering and cost cutting.
And everyone he has ever sparred with knew about the dangers of upper floor windows.
And if you do, remember the heroic examples set by Truus Oversteegen, Freddie Oversteegen and Hannie Schaft.
One should never skip dicks in the queue. It’s rude and they’ve been waiting.
“Yes I have, and I’m happy to do so again. For you.”
I’m not sure any good advice I grew up with applies to this future we’re stumbling into. Learn practical skills like gardening and fixing your stuff. Buy as little as you possibly can. An affordable set of basic tools is a great thing to keep for life. Consider the state of the world long and hard before you decide to bring children into it. Never talk to the police.
