People miss a lot more obvious shit these days, but it’s still disappointing.
It doesn’t help that there’s just an onslaught of fucked up news coming out of the USA which makes it all more difficult to keep up with. “Flood the zone with shit” is working well and the US barely has any real journalism left to counter it. I actually find CBC here in Canada covers what’s going on better than any news corp in the country it reports on which is funny in a depressing way
I’m based in Ontario and visit Toronto fairly regularly so I’m biased towards wanting it already but I really want Rockstar to make a GTA: GTA for the name alone
Lack of commute is the only reason I took an in office job again too. I’ve spent like 7 out of 8 years of my career working from home and I really didn’t think I’d ever be convinced to go back but my new job’s office is under 10 minutes away by bike and I get at least one day a week to work from home. It’s officially 4 days a week in office but my manager is really relaxed about that requirement if my work is getting done
In the winter its unthinkable not to but in the summer it’s unthinkable to wear socks. Why did my ancestors choose to settle down in Ontario where the weather is one extreme or the other

Is your ballot tied to you though? I guess that’s the confusing part to me because when we go to vote, we just show our voting card (or ID, or mail with address and name, or have someone vouching for you) and get given a generic slip of paper we put an X on and fold up before putting into a box. Nobody looks at it until the box is emptied and counted when polls close. Even with voter registration data I can’t see how it’s possible to trace a vote back to you without there being a really conveniently placed security camera

In Canada I believe you just get given cash but nearly all of our gun violence is done with illegally smuggled guns from the USA (maybe we need a border wall? 🙂) so it doesn’t have a huge effect on it. We generally have sane laws regarding firearms so gun violence is relatively low already though.

I think I’d be okay with that. I’ve setup my keyboard so that FN+wasd act as arrow keys and I will occasionally use them that way in my editor even if I primarily use vim style movement
I mean, you can get pharmaceutical heroin and pharmaceutical meth and while you’re not going to experience quite the same levels of harm since it’d be pure and clean, the addiction will still deal the same damage as the street stuff
