I still don’t understand the part where some got ‘stolen’ and were held hostage…

Where’s the Cat Distribution System when you need it?

If its not an unplanned nuclear exchange or sudden lost of wealth from a bank, then it’s not a crisis scenario.
Treasure Planet ending then
I understand that, but the post above highlights that there needs to be discretion to such an invite.
Placing it in a public space increases the risks of bad actors coming into stream and ruining the event for everyone. People have done such things for less.
I would’ve forwarded the obituary through a private family group or messenger as opposes to a socmed.
Is this the external storage for the orange braincells?
A funeral is a sacred thing.
WHY WOULD YOU STREAM IT AND MAKE IT ABOUT YOU?!
I would understand if it’s a self-reflection and comfort after the event, but not during.
Because technology went from something you engaged with at your discretion to a form of drug a cartel is threatening you to take else they skin you alive.
Sarcasm:
It’s time to check if the Finno-Korean Hyperwar is to be resumed, or are we starting the squeakuel.
Next, curse that dastardly scientist Yakub.
To be apolitical in a democracy is an oxymoron and, at worst, a sign of willfull, deliberate ignorance.
A system intended for citizen participation in governance must have a politically conscious citizenry.
There’s people who are uneducated on the matter, and people who are educated, but choose ignorance. The latter is one of the worst forms of cruelty.
Yet, we have scientists that can be paid off by billionaires, and scientists that are more than willing of pursuing their egos at the cost of that very knowledge.
History shows how many times a person can be factually correct but equally condemned because they didn’t conform to the way of thought of the times.
Science also doesn’t necessarily share our understanding of right or wrong, let alone harm or benefit. Science is based on what we perceive at any given time, and how others after us come to correct or reframe it down the line.
It is incomparable to religion not because of superiority of science but because religion provides what science cannot, that is comfort and assurance and a framework for uncertainty. Without the foundation provided by religion, science goes wild and baseless as supposed intellectuals begin to fight over whose school of thought is correct.
God doesn’t provide you with direct knowledge, he provides you the avenue and opportunity to pursue reliable knowledge. Every law, including that of the universe, has a judicator that presides over it, and to believe it is mere chance that we exist is both baseless and unreliable by logic.
The assumption here is that science is a sapient entity that auto rectifies the error of the practitioner when it is, at the end of the day, only a method of observation of the environment.
Every generation, people get complacent over something that the next generation has to figure out. Then, that generatiob over relies on one singular thing, and they grow complacent over that.
Religion, ideology, economics, etc… They all rhyme with the same story of being complacent, and then being put to blame when humanity starts trying to skirt around them.

Everytime someone says something is too big to fail, I remind myself that failure is often a catastrophic series of events that occur because the leadup was ignored all the way.

But who bails out the goverment when they list everyone below billionaire status as a non-citizen?
What about huge underwater submersibles ?Won’t someone think of the captains obsessed with the cleanliness of sheets?

Love the retro casettes-esque aesthetic on that mouse and headphone

Being apolitical in a democracy is in itself a paradox at best and a clear sign of hipocrasy at worst.
A society that requires citizen participation in governance and one chooses to be ignorant? Absurd.
The play pretend has ended for a while, but only now it’s reached critical mass in how many people are ignoring the rules and laws.
