If not getting mad over a cyclist driving on a pavement and vice-versa makes me entitled, then I guess I am entitled 😔
hello :3
I’m a 30-something IT enby living in the middle ass nowhere

If not getting mad over a cyclist driving on a pavement and vice-versa makes me entitled, then I guess I am entitled 😔

ye but cyclers should expect pedestrians wandering there (unless its like denmark-style infra with fences, traffic lights and stuff). In most places they take an already not that enormous pavement, cut it in half and expect pedestrians to lane themselves 🤷♀️
all Im asking is some patience before jumping to assumptions other people are inconsiderate assholes

The unspoken contract is: today you bike where I walk, tomorrow I walk where you bike, and we dont get angry at each other because cars exists and fuck them amirite.

By “they” I didn’t mean the artist, I meant the faculty of fire magic 😅

Is that tree meant to be on fire or have they been slopping extra hard

using top search result seems like a monumental effort compared to today 😔
A higher percentage of PE teachers are bad at their job than other disciplines, because schools’ tend to hire randos for that position. I salute all who’re good at it despite this regrettable trend 🫡
honestly I just love the texture of freeze dried food. As a picky eater (lame I know) a lot of stuff I hate normally is totally fine freeze dried, I used to buy a ton of fruits from a place nearby until they started selling through marketplaces and the prices went 5x.
I tried doing it in a fan oven but its not the same, tho I concede it might be a skill issue
I don’t have a vacuum pump (yet)
I wanna by vacuum freeze dryer so bad but the cheapest is like 3500$ 💀

don’t deny we were all thinking it
all my homies be redshift-maxxing 😤🤙

ditch writing return to telling stories around a bonfire
They will cease to exercise memory because they rely on that which is written, calling things to remembrance no longer from within themselves, but by means of external marks.

good movie.
I could’ve also described how our descendants will be dragging their soft gelatin bodies across harsh rocky terrain in a torrent of neverending suffering, but I dont think ai is gonna get that smart

the vast majority of our descendants will use rocks after AI-driven missile detection system thinks a bird is an incoming nuke during a period of extreme geopolitical tensions on the grounds that most people have to choose between buying food or paying water and electricity bills

A big part of the AI providers revenue in the future will be “insights” – thinly anonymized user data and its analysis as a service.
You can see how fintech is doing the exact same thing today – providing live user data (and sometimes slowing them down just enough to skim of the top) to big investing companies.
So may be don’t shove your entire “source” folder into Claude.
My boss said it out loud yesterday: you know guys, i don’t really depend on you anymore.
As a poor soul who’s trying to refactor a fully vibe-coded project (in prod BTW) into something half-decent: hahahahahahahah
I read a lot about nazis, occasionally I idly think “wouldn’t it be neat to own a Reich’s coin or maybe a book”. And then I think about it for 3 more seconds and go naaah
is this where you say none because all governments are inherently repressive (which is true and based)
Cyclists drive on the pavement when there’s a huge puddle on the bike lane, or when it wasn’t maintained properly and turned into a washing board, or just to cut a corner. And godspeed to them, hope they slow down before corners.
Same as pedestrians go into the bike lane when two moms with strollers take the entire road, or when their dog wants to sniff the bushes, or if its faster to get to the busstop.
idk dude there’re more ways to be considerate other than regiment everything
