It is exactly what Instagram is, everyone is incriminating themselves with all kind of hateful baits. There will be a day when they will use that data accordingly.

Yea I did encounter something similar, except that website was only accepting gmail addresses and yahoo if I’m not mistaken. I had been running with it for about 3 years now. Currently I am also trying unbox.at, as someone recommended it and seems quite nice, except that its so easy with relay because I just right click and fill a field. But I will create an addon for unbox.at.

It does provide the phone number mask, that’s what it means. Nonetheless, I am on the free tier to be honest.

It basically has the same features as relay, difference is that relay is integrated in firefox. But yea, SimpleLogin is another good solution.

It is meant for you to more easily organize your incoming emails than “identifying” which company sold your data.

Why is that if I may ask? I mean, opnsense is indeed more versatile from what I can see.

Fuck politics, fuck liberals, fuck democrats, fuck republicans and whatever else there is. Etiquettes created to combat truth. You will deny what your eyes see and your ears hear for whatever they will lay in front of you. The same ones that massacred millions during USSR created todays Israel, same people that created the Nazi movement, the same ones that funded CIA, funded Mossad. Those are the same people that overtook US and undermined it. They are the ones fighting freedom and any possible chance of prosperity for humanity.

HAMAS was heavily funded through Qatar by Israel. They are literally funding different terrorist groups in order to create needed conflicts to justify takeover of land and invasions. They need it for The Greater Israel project.

They will also try to create biblical events through mass destruction in order to harness world wide control through mayhem, as that’s their currency. They have no morals, no empathy and consider everyone else to be cattle for slaughter. They will spill as much blood as possible in order to get total control over the world. They want to see all nations bow to them, but they will never have it.

You’ve worked on MikroTik? If so, my warmest congratulations, my absolutely favorite piece of technology in my home. 🙇

If you’re willing to fortify your network in terms of security, I highly recommend building yourself a WiFi router or just buying a highly customizable one like MikroTik or alternatives as such. I think its easily the best defense for such cases.

I have just discovered unbox.at as well through making this post. Awesome alternatives. Having a look at runbox right now. Thanks!

Awesome, had no idea even though one of my main addresses is hosted by them.

Even crazier is that Wi-Fi sensing has been around since around 2008. The wild part is how much more they can do with it now. With AI, they can use Wi-Fi signals to track movement, map out rooms, and even detect body positions in real time. It’s not literally seeing through walls, but it’s getting pretty damn close.

I meant self hosting as in hosting it yourself, at home, on your homelab, with your own network. Residential networks tend to block SMTP ports and IPs usually have horrendous reputation, most being blacklisted.

Hetzner, OVH and other hosting providers do not use residential networking. :)

It is not theoretical and there are companies doing the custom installation on demand.

There is quite a bit of public info on qwant and other search engines as well: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0003682X20309762

Here is a device you can buy yourself, but this is on the lower end: https://creationnetworks.net/products/cambridge-sound-ds2530-70v-window-door-wall-masker-for-scif-secure-rooms-w-vol-control-retractable-cord-0815-900

Here is what one of the laser microphones look like, and you can actually even find and buy them (although not all countries permit it, but you can still buy them with a little bit of research :) https://pki-electronic.com/products/audio-surveillance-equipment/laser-microphone

Also an example of how its done to track your keystrokes (article paywall bypass included): https://archive.is/20251103180518/https://www.wired.com/story/infrared-laser-microphone-keystroke-surveillance/

Again, if your internet provider doesn’t do its best to prevent you from doing that, which most do.

Main issue for most users with the selfhosted version is that the ISP might be rotating IP addresses, most might have awful reputation or straight up blocking SMTP ports. I was lucky not to have any of those issues, but I have seen many such complaints. :(

But yea, self hosting is the way if possible, if not, a free services like mozilla’s relay might be the best fit.

Depends. If we’re talking about malware targeting a TV OS, doing that will not really improve things. Another side note, a soundbar might include a microphone. (Most do)

Overall, it is a viable solution, but I wouldn’t bet on it at all if I were to go for full privacy.

It’s what they call my pecker.

I am so sorry, my dude. I feel your pain as I struggled for quite a bit as well, my wife almost lost all trust in me during that period of time and it honestly was soul crushing af.

I hope for all the best for you, I can relate to that. Lost 3 clients as a contractor during 2022-2025 and currently work only with one single client and things aren’t going too well financially for him but I try to keep myself optimistic.
